E55 then E63, now back to an E55
i just put Hankooks on the rear and so far I'm loving them.
Hook up is great, noise is low - don't know about wear yet.
I have had 295s on the rear with no rub for years, but the Hankooks seem to run a little over sized.
They sit very tight in the wheel wells (i'm lowered as well)
I can't see any rub, but I've only had them for a few hundred miles.
They don't hook up as well as some of the high dollar summer tires, but they are a few hundred dollars cheaper.- get what you pay for
I always found I ran through the super soft tires in under 10K miles. I do a ton of highway miles, so changing tires twice a year was getting old.
I had potenza's on their before and they were lasting 20K miles, but they don't hold air well and the grip wasn't great.

Hope this helps

I agree. How long should I expect the V12 evo K112s (or whatever it is) to last...?
Armo,
TPMS sensor generally generates a light in the dash if the pressure goes low. If you have ever seen that light come on, then thats another way to tell if you have TPMS sensors on your vehicle.

How can I find out if my car is equipped with TPMS?
Tirerack is asking whether my car comes equipped with this or not? With TPMS or Without TPMS?
My manual talks about the E-series in general, nothing specific about the E55 and doesn't mention anything about the TPMS.
Visually, I can't see anything different on the valve stems on the car.
Any help? Thank you.

There's something called the UTQG system that was developed by the Federal government to allow consumers to better understand tire markings and be able to compare tires easily. Hankook V12 has a rating of 280 (on a scale of 100-800). This basically means that an average driver under average conditions with avg maintenance can see about 28000 miles out of this tire.
I tend to go through tires pretty quick (duh) so I was looking for something less expensive for the California summer. Almost went with the Hankooks (great deal) but ended up with the Falken Azenis. So far I'm very happy; great grab, minimal noise, good wear. Worth a look...

I have the Hankook V12's, for the price and performance you cant go wrong with them.
Michelin PSS cost more but I have only heard great things about them, Cheaper then PS2's, better tread wear and more grip.

Hankook's........................$170.00 each
Car and Driver Magazine Tire Test
1st. place...................Michelin PS2
2nd place...................Hankook
Like most of you, I replace rear tires at least once a year. I'm on my 6th pr. of rear tires now and my second pair of Hankooks in five years. Are the PS2's a better tire? IMO, yes, but not worth the extra bucks. The Hankooks are very close.
I'm not that an aggressive driver and don't track my car so they're fine for me.
