Stripped my tensioner pulley bolt

Hey guys I found out today that my tensioner pulley bolt was loose so I decided to tighten it. I tightened it so much that the tork bolt got stripped. Any one know how I can remove the bolt because I will be changing out my tensioner tomorrow. Should I remove the tensioner and then clamp it then twist to get the bolt out? THanks for the help.

Its the thread on the torq bolt that got stripped. I was thinking of welding a nut on to it and unbolting it.

If the head of the bolt is stripped try something like this: http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1...u=00952157000P

Can you get a dremel in there and notch a slit in the head? You can make it so you can use a flat head screwdriver I've done it on other things I've always used a hacksaw but I doubt you could get it in there

2006 dodge Charger RT
Same problem...

Its my Idler pulleys T-45 bolt thats stripped. Tried grip pliers (head is rounded and smooth, no grip), the sears sockets didnt work and neither did any of the other non welding related suggestions. Am I just screwed and need to take it to the dealer, or does anyone have any other suggestions? Im really starting to despise my charger. These things arent "durable" at all. Who in the hell puts plastic pullys on a car?! smh

EXOTIC - Do you happen to have a center bolt for the supercharger clutch laying around?

03' SL55 with UDP clutch but I stripped my center bolt pretty good trying to torque it down with a 24mm socket instead of a 15/16.

Drill it and fit an ease out. Shouldn't be terribly hard. You can also heat the bolt if you have loc tight on it.

One other thing is use a punch to start the drill hole. You want it to be exactly in the center of the bolt.
