Im talking to them now trying to get custom 18s made to fit a 315 mickey thompson on it.They already made me an agressive set to run 275/35/18 that I have now.
Im trying to get a 18x10.5 made to clear our brakes and not hit the sidewall and also fit a 315 mickey on it.
The specs of the drag radial are 11in wheel width 25.5 overall and 12.4 sidewall width. When I find the sweet spot of either a 10 or 10.5 wheel we will have the ultimate drag setup for our cars!
what tire do you have on them,I can look up its specs and go from there.Do you have any room to go any bigger now?

I'm running 19x10.5 et35 in the rear with a 285 tire...had to do a roll and slighty pull but I'm tucking tire. If you leave about 2-3 finger gaps you should be good with just a roll. I think you'd be better off with a 10 inch wheel if you plan on running a fatter tire, the 10.5 leave little room for tire sidewall clearance.

Yo Angelo,
Got your PM but I thought I'd just post it in here for everyone's enjoyment. The 19x10.5 had an ET35. I ran PS2 275's but could have ran 285's if I wasn't so slammed.
Hope that helps man!

I wonder if 18x10.5 with 39mm offset will work with the 315/30/18.
You had to roll/pull the fender a little to fit the 19.how much room do you have from hitting the inside sidewall?
Thanks tgoss, looks like most people with 19s run a 35mm offset

When I had an E55 I ran 19x10 HRE's et 32 with 275x30's. It was good fit with my lowered car- zero rubbing with 3 in the back.

I had 20"x9.5" et45 with a 295/25-20 on it and it was tucked far under the wheel well. I installed a 15mm spacer and could have still gone more aggressive.
I think if I was to do it all over again I would look into running a 19"x10" or 10.5" and at least a 305/30.
Next time.........

I didn't roll or pull the fenders at all, I just wanted it flush in the back. I'm a different breed then you drag racing heros.... Why do you think I drive an audi these days

Im going 315
There's really no hassle most people run 19s and 20s I want to run forgstar f14s in gloss black 18x10.5 with a Mickey Thompson 315/30/18 as my daily driving setup.

typo...meant 315's.
....so not really the "ultimate drag set up" you were claiming...more of a daily set up that you would like to run. good luck, i highly doubt you'll get 315's back there but it sure would look beastly!

The 315 Mickey has a 25.5 rolling diameter so the car wont have issues with the traction control.
I can spin 265/40/18 Mickey thompsons and my 275/35/18 bfgs can't put the power down either.
It will work because those mickeys run shorter than most 315s,there more like a 305

when you say those tires won't hold, are you talking street or track? with proper track prep i could get decent power down with toyo t1r street tires (enough to consistently run 1.71 60ft's) and easily get it all down with the 255/50/16 mickey thompsons. maybe it has more to do with sidewall height...but i'd surmise the sidewall on the 315 you're looking at is pretty short too.
btw, i've run 19x10's with both a 35 and a 40 offset and a 285/30/19 tire.

diameter may not have issue but i can't imagine a 315 width tire not rubbing under the slightest amount of compression.

My first gear is a joke and my car made 598rwt on its 4th pull in 4th gear on the dyno,it would of broke 620ftlbs if we used 4th gear on the first pull instead of 3rd etc.
So when I said the ultimate setup I ment for me driving it the way I want for the street(to put down the power)and the track to get in some fast passes.
I want my car to look good and also HOOK up on the street where it counts.
The tire I picked out is the 315/30/18 mickey thomson DR.I wanted to use this tire after my friend showed me them on his big T4 single turbo supra.
I was shocked how he got that sucker to fit on a 10in wide wheel and then started thinking I might be able to fit it on our cars.
the specs on the MT 315 are 25.5 in tall and that is the same hight as a stock E55 with 265/35/18 tires,so the hight is not a problem.I just need to see how much room we have to play with and see if there is enough space to fit a 12in wide tire that is 25.5 in tall.
some people are running 295/35/19s and those tires are almost just as wide but are almost a full inch taller than the MT I want to run.
Here is a pic of the supraaa
