Evosport Header Update - Awesome Result!
I have previously posted about my passenger side Evosport shorty header cracking. Although my MB dealer claimed my car's motor mounts were fine, I went ahead and replaced them anyway.
I contacted Brad at Evosport, and he asked me to send them back to Evosport for inspection and repairs. A few days ago, Brad notified me that my repaired headers were on their way back to me, and there would be no charge to me for the repairs. Now that is what I call excellent customer service, since I purchased the headers second hand and was prepared to pay for repairs since I didn't believe there was any warranty remaining on the headers.
I know there have been some people that claim to have had a less than satisfactory result in their dealings with Evosport, but that simply hasn't been my experience. I've purchased two items from them new and the parts were excellent and showed up when I expected them to. Now, they've taken care of me on one of their parts that I didn't even purchase new from them. They've earned my support; that's for sure.
The even better news is that the headers were returned in better than new condition compared to even when I first bought them. Evosport applied their latest design structural upgrade, which is a support bar welded from the #4 and #8 exhaust port flanges to the downpipe flanges. I fully expect that cracking concerns are now virtually non-existent.
Here are pictures of the structural upgrades:

And here's a shot of both headers, better than new:

Now I'll probably have to look up my old "install" thread:

and play under the car again.
Well done, Brad and Evosport!!!!

Glad to hear Brad took care of you and thumbs up to Evosport for not only repairing your second hand out of warranty cracked headers for free but also for adding structural upgrades to help prevent future cracking. Wow!!
