Dynamic seats not working!
Read a few threads, still have a few questions... I almost never use my dynamic seats lol, today decided to use them, and to my surprise they don't work! When I press the "pulse" button, it just steadily flashes, than turns off. No codes thrown, SRS or anything like that...
Anyone know which fuse/relay is for the dynamic seats?
Is their a reset procedure for the dynamic seats?
Possible solutions I read are:
New dynamic pump
Dynamic seat module
dynamic seat control switch
How can I be sure if the pump is dead? Can the option some how get disabled say after unplugging the battery, and needs to be reactivated via star?
Cheers guys any help would be great! Not really disappointed its not working, because I didn't really use it, but now that I know it doesn't work, its going to annoy me lol.

Here's a video of where the pump is. Seems to be working? What's that loose hose? Sounds like air leaking somewhere.

sounds like the pump is indeed working (loud ******* after you remove the foam lol)
I would suspect that you would have a leak.
As an FYI, if you replace the pump you need star to re-activate it. I did mine and was lucky to have a star with me. My light would blink as well etc.
Do both seats have the same problem? Could help isolate a leak if there is one.

So found a blown fuse in the trunk. 4th one from the bottom, replaced it with the 7.5a that was previously there. Thinking this is NOT the dynamic seat fuse, because I read somewhere that fuse is 40amp. Whats the the correct fuse size/location for the dynamic seat?

Page 14, suggests 2nd from bottom? That cant be right... I have a 40amp fuse at the bottom, dont see a "reserve" location

I too have the same problem except:
My pulse seats work and the dynamic seats work only the slightest when I press the button but soon dies or turns off..I haven't looked at it yet since I don't really use the dynamic seats but would like to find a solution!

All the pumps etc seem to be working for me. Because I disconnected the battery overnight awhile back, I think the system got deactivated. Needs to be activated via star...

tbal,
There should be a menu option available in the cluster to turn them on... I know I've seen it there. There's even a setting for "Soft" or "Aggressive" dynamics (or something like that)...
Does the light not even come on when you press the seat button directly?
I had my DS seat shut off inexplicably once on a long trip and wouldn't come back on with the button at all. The next day it was back to normal like nothing had ever happened.

When I press the button on the seat, the red light blinks continuesly...

The blinking light isn't normal.... Maybe it's flashing an error code pattern?
My seat shut off again on a long trip, but went back to normal after a stop where I shut the ignition off completely. Not sure why it's happening but I don't care enough (yet) to have it diagnosed.

I checked the pump its working, the seat pulse and dynamic are the only things not working, maybe it needs to be activated via star? It seems like this happened since I unplugged the battery, but seems like no one has had this problem before lol

not that it helps, but i have the exact same problem, blinking light and all, in my '06 e55. just started working on it. please update if you find anything. i'm starting the checklist of things to look at now.

in doing some research on this, there is mention in one thread that there is a tube/hose that carries air that routinely gets crushed or melts and blocks the flow of air. not i just have to find and trace that tube and i'll update you if that's the problem.

I'm having the same issue with both seats. The dynamic light will stay on, but the pulse lights just blink and go off. I think the pump is either bad or there's a leak somewhere. Does anyone know the troubleshooting steps for these over-engineered seats? What must be done in the STAR diagnostics to test/reset the pump? Very frustrating...

Dynamic Seats Not Working
I was experiencing the exact same lights flashing on the Pulse button and I had been hearing a high pitched sound from the trunk, etc. Took it to the dealer, they diagnosed the problem as a bad pump. It has now been replaced and all is back to normal. Luckily everything was covered under warranty.

I just had mine diagnosed at the mechanic. Turned out my check valve failed causing the pump to continue running and eventually melting the hose. The motor can still be turned on but the pump is completely ruined. I bought a replacment used unit with a 1 year warranty for $247 otherwise, on the W220 it is an $800 part.
