Well I think your are forgetting the fact that the E55 is a family sedan with a lot of nonsense power which would put you in "***** to tha wall" mode pretty promptly.The 996 is no joke either but its in a different class from the e55.Its a privelage that the family oriented Merc. could be respectfully compared to a world class sports car.
