What's the part # on the receiver, I might be interested? It needs to have the green plug and 2 antenna inputs like the fourth picture in post #1.

How many variations on the word Toadster can there be?
I have a workshop manual that tells you how to install Sirius
I can bring it with me to work tomorrow and scan in if anyone wants it.
I thought YM did a DIY but it was for the IPOD Install

I found for you this post.....
https://mbworld.org/forums/1266748-post7.html

There are pics in there that will show you the rear shelf in the very deep part of the trunk. Its a PITA to get to.
It also helps to do a search for SDARS in the forum search which is what i originally did but forgot.

Originally a W211 E Class without Sirius had a MOST RING with a connected yellow wire connection and unconnected orange wires in the car. If you wanted to install sirius......you just unplug the yellow connection and jump in between it with the orange connection.

So to remove the unit just disconnect the yellow fiber from the orange connector and reconnect it back to the yellow fiber. Leave the orange disconnected. This is the signal that is sent by the sirius unit to the command.

What you are doing here is removing the sirius unit from the MOST ring which is just really a daisy chain of all the electronics leading back to the command.

Oh lord it truly is a US Spec car.
Look at my pic in my first post and thats where the antenna is installed with the two into one wires.

1. Just disconnect those wires from the SDAR unit. The unit is in the back so there shouldnt be a mess of wiring
2. Find where it leads to in the Trunk
3. Remove the antennae on the Trunk from the inside. YOu will have to remove trunk liner.
4. Fill and Repaint hole in Trunk left by removed antenna. (I would just leave it)

Fiber Optic Cable
I've installed an oem SDAR in my 2005 E320. My question is plugging and unplugging the fiber optic cables in the part of the trunk right behind the rear seat. I understand which cables need to get plugged into which cables (yellow and orange). What I'm not sure about is the unplugging; do you pull the cable out of the fiber optic coupler or do you open up the coupler and lay the cable inside. Can you "pull" the cable out of the coupler without damaging it?
