With the performance package, it ran the following:

0-60: 3.8s
0-100: 8.3s
1/4m: 12.0 @ 122.5mph

Pretty impressive...especially the trap speed!

That would be the 5.5 liter twin turbo 590 HP CLS that is misnamed 63, right

I don't get this either. They totally should have gone to 55 again. Probably because they don't want people thinking the 63's are better?

Impressive numbers, all about marketing though, to some 55 would be less than 63.

I test drove this car in march at an AMG event and asked the AMG guys the same question. He said they didn't want to confuse customers by going backwards.

car and driver has the CLS63 hitting 150mph at 19.5 seconds.

The E60 M5 did it around 20.5

The E55 varied from 23 to 24.5 seconds.

CTS-V sedan manual (car and driver) was around 22.3

The CTS-V auto wagon 21.3

CTS-V coupe 22.5

The new F10 M5 will probably dip under 19 seconds (better gearing) but the gap will be much closer than before.

The TQ is deff. there, However it just didnt crack the full smile on my face that the 55 does blowing the rear tires off throwing me back in the seat. However I didnt have it in "amg" mode
