Poor example. Cocaine is also illegal and some may argue more addictive than modding cars. This dictates the price in this example, not necessarily the supply and demand

its an extreme and obvious example because many do not get the not so obvious examples.

BTW, taking the US mandated speed limited governer off your car via tune is illegal too mr attorney. Also so is removing your cats. legality does not stop the laws of supply and demand from occuring so my point remains valid.

and illegal drugs price is mostly dictated by the cost of transport and supply and the decrease of supply as it moves north in transit, NOT its addictive nature... have you ever been to colombia or peru? people are just as addicted down there but you can get the same amt of coke for 15 times less... the reason it is 15 times more up here is because as it travels north more and more gets caught by the officials and more and more cost incurred to get a smaller amount of supply to a larger demand. thus it is supply and demand related.. btw my degree is in financial engineering with a minor in econometrics/ applied mathmatics so i know a little bit about supply and demand function.

again, there are many addicts in south america and it is 15 times cheaper there. but you knew this already

Sounds like you know a little to much about cocaine...... And I am gonna go on a limb here and say you are better off with ported heads at less than half the price of these intercoolers and will end up with more power even on the stock intercooler. Afterall E55amgrocket just made like 615whp on a stock intercooler with his ported heads, cams and the basic stuff most everyone has (big pulley, headers, etc)

I think the ported heads are well worth the investment. I picked up over 160rwhp off the spray with a 20mm bigger pulley, open exhaust after the headers,DPF ported heads and PTE cams and of course Jerry's (Eurocharged) custom tune on it. My next step is changing out the stock intercooler so i'll see what gains i get from that if any

By the way if you add up the cost of the heads($3k,cams$2k and gaskets with a labor charge of $1300 your still way ahead of the intercoolers and will make more power for sure. What do you think the labor alone would be on the intercooler install. You cant just think about the initial cost.

Appropriate that you bumped this thread on April Fools Day.....

The delivery of this product is a joke of epic proportions.

Dear EvoSport, don't start a thread promising a product in 8 weeks when it's clear that you are more than a year from actual production.

I've all but abandoned any hope of this product ever seeing the light of day. What other route are you considering, Steve?

Somebody should get SLR coolers and reverse engineer them somehow. Like you said Steve it's not rocket science, I know R&D is needed but aircraft have been built faster than EvoSport have taken. If EvoSport was an aircraft maker in WW2 the allies would have been RAPED!!

They are. The SLR intercoolers are too big and you need to modify the hood to make them fit.

That's true but look how small these are, they look like half of the SLRs ones. I mean even for the W211 look how much more room there is above the EvoSport ones. Do you think they're worth it? I don't mean for the price by the way I mean are they worth it period as in are they just for show or will these actually be functional and make some substantial difference in cooling.

Judging by the pics alone, the core area looks to be at least 4 times the size of the oem intercooler...sounds great to me.
