I can't believe you asked that question.
This is taken out of the owners manual.When checking the oil level, the vehicle must be parked on level ground with the engine at operating temperature, the vehicle must have been stationary for at least 5 minutes with the engine turned off.

I wanted to blast you
, but thought the wiser of it. Because some people, honestly don't know And I wasn't exactly sure if the E55 had a dipstick, because previous BMW I've owned didn't have one.
But relied on sensors to tell you your oil level. Which, I hated.
Its about 150 and its under the car on the oil pan.its a simple sway and i think its only 3 screws.

Tried to put another dipstick in one of the holes in that area and came back with nothing. I unscrew the oil cap and there's def oil there but who knows how much. Idiotic not having a dipstick.





I think the no dipstick idea comes from the earlier FSS design of MB maintenance. They don't use FSS anymore and now it's time/mileage based like the rest of the world.
