Hand made, vs. Line?

Hand made, vs. Line?
I thought I read something the other day that mentioned AMG vehicles were now made on the same lines as their brethren. I'm just wondering if I misread that, or if it is indeed the case.
If so, any opinions on differences in quality? I remember seeing a very entertaining video of an AMG technician hand assembling the engine to an SL55. Seems a shame to lose this "personal touch", although with modern quality practices, I doubt it would be a big deal. Anyone care to comment on how AMGs are built these days?

AMG still builds the engines in their factory. All the vehicles, AMG and other are built on the same line however. The AMG's are mated to the AMG engine received from AMG at some point down the line.

AMG Specials are still built in Affalterbach at the AMG facility.
Others, as Adam pointed out, are manufactured on the line for that particular chassis, mated with the hand-assembled AMG engine.
