parts

so im new to the whole mercedes and european scene. ive been driving american cars for a while now, mustangs and cadillacs and such. anyways my question is, where is a good online shop to buy parts, like performance or exterior styling? im mainly looking for a lip kit and a rear diffuser right now, ive seen some on ebay, but just wondering if you guys can point me in the right direction for other online options.

thanks

My experience with Euroteck Motorsports out of Florida was poor. Service terrible, quality of the parts purchased was worse than the Chinese stuff on Fleebay. Specifically the fit and finish of the rear diffuser poor, finish of the lip spoiler was dry on one side (rough). Both parts had to be sanded and re-clear coated. Trunk lip had to be re-clear coated.
James at Automotive Connoisseur Group Inc. was the distributor and was no help with repeated emails.

Good luck with your quest.

Still trying to get the rear to fit;

Stock diffuser is gone. The diffuser is actually short and not curved to match the rear bumper cover.

Stand corrected, that is pretty bad fitment for something that costs so damn much.

Hate to be negative, but I had the exact same result. Very unhappy. My personal opinion is that the mold compound shrunk and made it to small to fit properly. The bowing of the piece is indicative of that type of shrinkage.

To make it fit right, I think you need to remove plastic from the bumper on each end where you show in the photo. Probably going with an epoxy (which at least one person did) to attach it properly.

I would go with JBSPEED who has everything you need in the classifieds exterior section. Pricing and service is unmatched.

Gary@Suvneer who sells in this section of the forum, has really nice stuff for the pricing

No not at this time, they are going to try to bond it to the bumper and see how it does.

Maybe we need to start a "wall of shame" to give crappy suppliers a taste of their own medicine. Won't take long to weed out the scallywags.

Wow been a while since I've posted here. Got the E55 all finished, took a 1st place people's choice award at last year's MB show and shine in Seattle. The fuel smell after the fuel pumps being replaced were the last straw. They said that would fix it, but it didn't. Was so bad I didn't want to risk my house blowing up so I traded it in!

I went over to the dark side and bought a Maserati, really is a step up from Mercedes. Don't fret however, still have a SL55, CLK55, C230 and ML350 so I'm still in the maintenance system ;-)
