So I picked up an 03 E55....
And cannot wipe the ear to ear grin off my face!
<< Like that!
Anyways, Why is it that no one wants to run me? In my old car (W202 C43), everyone would try to get me to run them....
But - back to the car. I picked up a 2003 that is loaded. Pano Roof, Keyless Go, vented seats, nav, bluetooth, sat radio, ipod, 07 and up facelift, custom steering wheel, and some other goodies.
What do you guys think? I got an awesome deal on it, and could not be happier!

A 2003 with NAV? That's a rare car, I think. I thought the only 2003 E-Classes that got NAV, were actually the 2004 replacement cars, titled as 2003s. You can search on what those cars are, it's a long story and an MBUSA debacle.
The good news is, if you have one of those replacement cars, you actually have EURO COMAND electronic internals, in a US COMAND shell. As long as the firmware hasn't been updated in it, you can play DVD movies.
Enjoy her. Steering wheel looks a bit rough. Time for an upgrade.

Yes. Got a pretty awesome deal on it too.
It is an S-Class satellite radio antenna. The stock W211 Sat Radio antenna does not exactly compliment the cars lines.
Good eye. The mirrors covers are getting resprayed.
It is a comand retrofit. It does play DVDs, and DVDs loaded with MP3s! The PO of the car was a dealer tech, so he retrofitted quite a few goodies into the car while in his ownership.
The steering wheel is a custom alcantara wheel with a flat bottom. It looks worn out because its just very dirty. I will take a picture of if after work.

The E55 doesn’t look like a car that at its time was the fastest production saloon in the world so most people are oblivious to it capabilities, hence you will not have people wanting a run all the time.

The green calipers should entice a few to play with you...
Sorry to hear the C43 is gone but the E55 should help with the loss

Thanks all!
How do you guys deal with the brake dust? Seems like no more than 10 minutes after washing the wheels, they are dirty again! Even if its sitting still!

Any engine mods. Pulley?
Looks like past guy was a modder for sure.
Bet there is a pulley on there. Only way to tell is the slide the tape down there and take a peek.
Nice find!! Enjoy!!

Thanks all!
I am washing the wheels every other day!
Powerwise - the only mod it has is the CM30. The PO did cosmetic/visual mods - no power mods at all. I am thinking of getting a bigger/better heat exchanger so that I can boost longer. 2-3 hard runs and you can feel noticeable powerloss.
