A fellow local member asked us to powder coat his stock wheels for his M6 in gun metal.

On the CTS-V boards, where I lived prior to coming back here, some folks mentioned issues with wheel weakness after powder coating. There were many reports of cracked wheels hitting potholes and such.
Any thoughts on this? Was thinking to coat my stockers, but am concerned about wheel strength.

2005 E55 AMG
380F is peanuts for aluminum. It's melting point is 1200*F in it's base form, wheels aren't made of 100% aluminum so I don't know how it affects it's structure though.
