Fun with wheels....
Blew a tire on the SL's 20 inchers, two weeks ago. While waiting for replacement tires, getting them mounted etc..., I was rocking the stock SL Alphards. I put the 20s back on today and my wife said, "Hey, why don't you put those on the E-Class". I responded with "Run along little darlin', I'm doing big boy stuff over here. Nobody in their right mind would put Alphards on a W211."
Uh.....right?

WOw man I gotta say those look like they belong on the W211!! Simply stunning. In my opinion they remind me of the SLR wheels with the blade design. Looks very contemporary!

Thanks for the comments, both good and bad.
Certainly a love it or hate it look. I didn't like them at first, but I'm kinda diggin' them now.

Re: Alphards
They don't look bad at all on a 211. Whenever you get done dilly-dallying with all those wheels, puleeze let me know when you are ready to unload those Alphards.

Ha! You're never gonna believe it, but I have yet another set INBOUND for the SL. Epicness coming soon....
Honestly, those Alphards are wonderful cold weather wheels. They're straight, easy to clean, and have 99% brand new all-season tires on them. It's honestly a breath of fresh air to swap into them, after bouncing around on 20's all summer. People that say that the ride isn't compromised when going to large wheels are completely lying.
I was thinking about you the other day. I was on ebay and saw a set of Alphards for under a grand. Couldn't believe it. I will have to get rid of at least 1 set of wheels. I think this makes 5 sets at my house? WTF?
Yo Marcus! You get a car yet?

Clayton, I ummmm....despised those wheels when they were on your SL, but they actually look pretty damn good on the e! Looking forward to seeing what you have in store for the next round.
