Just out of curiosity, how many owners of the w211 e55's and e63's are college (or even high school) students?

My nephew in the states has an SL55, not an E63 or E55, he's a freshman in college but he got it in his last year of school.

Mikey how many credits is that course? I'm thinking about buying a Barrett Rec 7 to add to my collection. I remember when we bought these cars at 85-95k we never asked questions like "what's the average age" & "what's your yearly income" you know sh*t that nobody cares about. I guess times have changed.

i'll have to double check how many credits it's worth!

can't go wrong with precious metals right now...gold, silver, cold hard steel, and lead! i'm quite positive that barrett falls under cold hard steel so i say go for it!

and yes, times have changed. but i don't think they'll last for long...

Just did a force-on-force course a few weeks ago with simunitions. It was set up as a home invasion scenario. My partner? My girl. She held her own out there but they still took her out (OpFor was two gents from the local SWAT team). She got lazy pieing a corner.

We learned quite a bit. Real people is way different than punching paper. When you see a real person (threat) your weapon turns into a bullet hose, no pausing to get a sight picture. I stitched one of the guys up the leg, and halfway up his torso with about six rounds, didn't even wait to bring the gun up. Practice point shooting!

That's awesome. I'd love to have a personal SWAT trainer. Every one of those guys I've met has been an awesome dude, they get the "gun culture" because they're part of it. Many normal cops don't want citizens armed, while SWAT guys want everybody armed. That's probably because the only time they get called out is when some a-hole is waving a gun around. You might as well give them to the good guys!

You guys should try out the US Training Center, I just went to the one in NC over the summer and took Carbine Operator and Precision Rifle. They are very cool down there, everyone knows what they are doing big time. They have some more advanced classes like Executive protection and High Risk Security Operations for open enrollment and if you are military or LE then you can get into the really good stuff.

If you mean school as in, "Schooling, M5's & M3's", school is definitely in session!

Is that the place located in Moyock? I think I've heard about it. I'm looking to take a TigerSwan Carbine course in the fall, they run their courses out of that area.

you're right, cqc training is much different than just putting lead down range. i'm a point shooter by default so thankfully i was already ahead of that game. i'm right handed but left eye dominant so point shooting was something i've always done with handguns. i'm no marksman but i can put two to com at combat distance.

With used AMGs and non-AMG Mercedes so dirt cheap these days (the price of a new Honda Accord or Civic), I suppose it's no real surprise to see school aged kids driving them now.

I'm an adjunct professor in film and media studies (and work in the film industry.) So I'll be going back to school, too.
