Seriously, I have gotten two tickets in the last 6 weeks. Each occasion, the cops are like "So AMG huh, nice car. I hear their fast"
I expected the maintenance to be high but I forgot to add in the state charity tax from the law. Owning one of these things is like dating a slutty girl you know you shouldn't be out with, but you can't help it because shes a good lay lol. Meaning, the gas pedal addiction with this car is a hard one to break.
I have had this car since April, never had a speeding ticket before I bought this particular car. Just a warning to you guys lol At least the San diego cops know whats up. Set your cruise to 65.

that's weird I've always had the opposite response from law enforcement. they tend to let me off the hook after we shoot the S**t a little about the car....except for CHP, those guys are douches.

Sure didn't help my *** the second time... I'm a true believer that shifters are the only thing to keep you safe from your local friend police officer.
OP - If it makes you feel any better, I sold my AMG, bought a slower car and got 2 speeding tickets in one month.
Best part, same cop in the same spot for the same speed (both 54 in a 40)
In my 2 beautiful un-forgetful years of AMG ownership I never got caught speeding once and I owe every bit of it to the Escort SRX.
For those wondering, the answer is yes. I am retarded... just a little.

Unless California policies have changed, I don't think CHP even use radar on the highway..... Just simple pacing.
I drove with a V1 on my windshield in NorCal for years.... And the few times I'd ever been pulled over for speeding it never made a peep. CHP just rolled up an onramp without my noticing and just paced me for a while before laying the smack down.
Surface streets are a different story.... The V1 can still help there.
