Active Autowerke M3 vs W211 E55
A friend of mine just installed his stage 1.5 Active Autowerkes supercharger kit on his car a few days ago, and we decided to have a few runs in "Mexico" . My E55 only has a larger heat exchanger, Meziere intercooler pump, and K&N Filters. Enjoy

The E55 is a beast no doubt. That M3 however would be very fun to drive with whatever that upgrade is. It would be like an E55 with a dead pump in a 2 door coupe!

M3 sounds nice and raw, and I would have expected it to put up more of a fight. Tell him to add a 4.10 ring and pinion gear set to the rear diff, and run again.

I am not here to preach..your car, your life, but all this immature street racing in the middle of the day in ultra busy Houston traffic is getting old and you guys really need to keep this $.hit off the streets.
I love a powerful car just as much as you and the next guy out there, but treat them with respect and drive responsibly. That's why I have an E55 versus an E350, additionally your skill level as a driver is significantly lower than the capabilities of the car, throw in the crazy Houston traffic and you have a very dangerous \ potent mix.
I think its stupid that you try and disguise your runs as "Mexico"..do you really think if the police or law enforcement wanted to take action this description would prevent them?
If you want to run your cars that badly at the very minimum take it to a deserted County Road in Waller or Bend late at night where there is no traffic and no chance of endangering your life or others around you...better yet take it Baytown and run the cars at the track there.
Alot of you new, younger members would benefit from reading this tragedy where everyone ended-up loosing. I remember when it happened and hit home for me:

Keep it safe and think twice.

Nice kill on the second race. Wish I had luck finding some fun runs around here but where I'm at it seems only older folks in their Quattroportes and Jaguars ever want to run and you can almost count on it being a waste of gas.

its Brake HP so same as crank ... the brake term always tricked me cuz makes its sounds like they mean hp at the brakes but really the "brake" refers to the resistance from the machine the engines crank is hooked up to..
so on this BMW 505 BHP is like 414 WHP assuming 18% driveline loss...
i would of thought the boosted m3 woulda stayed closer with its lower weight but then again the AA s/c is centifugal s/c so its boost curve is way more peaky than our s/c's

Next time lol
He was a good friend of mine. I rarely find a nice race out unless you head to the track.
Sounds about right. All I know that this s/c kit is better than the old one AA had. This one is the current one with the HKS s/c..

Might have another run on a small air strip or some freeway runs. The M3 owner had a boost leak and a issue with his tune when we ran that he did not know about after the race, that is why you see me looking at his car in the 1st race, it did not sound right. But its all good now. I love this M3 it is super clean and the owner is a good friend of mine so we just did this for fun..
