2003 E55 & 2014 GL550
Meh I say coincidence. You just can't run the 55 back to back like that without heat soak. Even if you left the 250lbr in I think he would have pulled ya, just slower.

Much respect to Chevy for doing a better job on the intercooler system than Germany. Cant say that happens often eh?

Great vids! What blast! Street race scolders coming down I am sure in 3..............2...............1

E55 w/ goods, Z32 Project underway
Both cars appear about even depending on the mods installed. Nice runs.

As for the weight, i still do not think it was the cause, as you were doing a rolling run and to an extent it has less effect there.
From the vid your talking around 20-30+ hp difference and i highly doubt 250lbs of passenger = that

It would most likly take 2 hourse to carry him..3 if you want them hauling ***
Thats right on target...250LB=25hp approx. And about a 2mph trap speed difference in the qtr mile.

Nice showing for a modded e55, and basic stage 1 CTS-V
The extra gear will always help the CTS-V over the E55...
Plus its easier to extract power of those beasts.

If both cars had the same mods.. the cTS-v would no doubt pull away.

says a lot of the AMG even after 8 years, it can still play with the big boys.
