Took on a CTS-V in Mexico...
We did three races. In two of the race he had a passenger and in the last he was alone. Check out the HUGE difference unloading a 250lb passenger can do.

His CTS-V has intake, pulley and tune and put down approximately 510whp.

i hardly think one passenger can do that difference. You were heat socked most likely, or he did something vastly different.
nice kill and good sport on the caddy

Interesting little editing in that video, haven't seen something like that before. Nice runs too, and yeah it is amazing what a little weight will do.

Thanks guys!
We went by boat.
In any case we were both just as heat soaked. His intercooling system is ver similar to mine and he says that he can easily touch 160*F in a long pull like ours . Plus, 250lbs is a lot of weight.

As for the weight, i still do not think it was the cause, as you were doing a rolling run and to an extent it has less effect there.
From the vid your talking around 20-30+ hp difference and i highly doubt 250lbs of passenger = that
It would most likly take 2 hourse to carry him..3 if you want them hauling ***

Lol.. I am cracking up over here. Seems the passenger told him in the second race "wait till I get off... You will beat him by at least 1 and a half car" driver said "u think?" passenger said " you'll see" very nice runs indeed!

Can you ask the CTS-V owner what size pulley he is running? If he is only making 510rwhp....then he should be running a small crank pulley 8.6-9.1" (2-3psi increase in boost). Most CTS-V guys either do a s/c pulley swap or a 9.55" crank pulley which is roughly a 4.5-5psi increase in boost and yields closer to 550rwhp on a Dynojet. Also, did he upgrade his cooling system? The CTS-V has a decent cooling system stock...but most guys who increase the boost will also upgrade the heat exchanger (nothing different from 55K guys).
Just for comparisons sake...my 549rwhp (Dynojet) 9.55" pullied CTS-V (intake, tune, aux h/e) ran a 60-130mph time of 7.71s time on my vbox (verified by 6speed). I originally started with an 8.6" pulley (same other mods) and dynoed 509rwhp (same Dynojet). I ran a best 8.34s 60-130mph time in that configuration.

He might be running only a 2lb pulley increase on the blower, as he has another one going on the crank, which would makes sense for the 510rwhp number. Once he installs that lower and adds a HE, say bye-bye
