09 e63. Thoughts and opinions
I saw one with 18 k miles for 67000$
What's the pros and cons of this car vs getting a w212.
I'm looking for things besides the price and diff body
Is there any significant changes in the engines. Tranny. Suspension etc
Also any thoughts on the last yrs of e55
I need to get rid of my c320 quivk

The price you list is way too high, probably about 10 grand. Look for a low mileage 09 that is certified for under $60. Add headers, tune, and supercharger and good to go.
They only made 422 of the 09 so there are not that many out and around.

I paid 60 for mine, an '09 with 18k miles, completely loaded. I got a good deal IMO because the car is flawless. That car is about 10% overpriced. Ended up buying the CPO warranty extended until 2016 which lets me sleep at night.
The changes in the body between 211 and 212 are significant. Some say the interior quality has gone down with the new models, more extensively so in the new models. However the 212 is much more modern inside. I personally think the W211 E63 is timeless. I absolutely love mine.
The '09 W211 has the updated COMAND unit in the 212 so the stereo and NAV are the same. Huge improvement over previous model years. The sound is incredible for a stock system, even better than my M5's which I find hard to believe as that system was awesome.
The MCT transmission is not a true DCT, it's the 7g-tronic with a clutch instead of a torque converter, not a true SMG ot Dual Clutch setup.
The W212 has a sprung suspension which improves handling but disables your ability to raise and lower the car at will.

Overall I love my W211 E63, although its an 07. I will be honest, I do not like the look of the W212, the front is aggressive, but the rest of the car ?? I do like the new electronic gizmos they put into it, the interior resembles the C class only bigger.

^i guess if you had an outstanding extended warranty it would work similiarly but ive brought the car in for alot of small things and MBUSA has fixed it all without batting an eyelash. Extended warranties are usally tiered, have deductable, etc. I.E. most 100k extended warrenties only cover the engine for that period, eletrical is phased out at like 60, suspension at 80K, you get the point. IF you gonna go that route id really read the fine print. There also other benefits, like if you CPO and out on a trip(certain distance from home) and the car breaksdown they pay for lodging etc(to a point).
Just noticed you have a G, i think there like 4 or 5 forum members who are from my 3 5 0 z on here. I had a boosted G35 for a while...

i drove it today, its funny the internet price was 67, but the sticker in the window was 80$K
white with camel covered interior, eww, but also have pano, which i dont care too much about
as for the drive, i did the standard Fletcher Jones test drive around the block...the car was nice obviously, drove well, saw no issues
then i saw a 212 w63 in designo black etc etc, plus p30 package
drove it around the block too, felt tighter, not necessarily quicker, atleast in the test drive...
liked them both, unfortunately i cant buy till after october and im sure the white one will be gone by then
ill prob just have to get a 2012 by then, lol
