For those who are DROPPED....

Gentlemen (and ladies):

Just doing some research and was curious about:

1) Method
2) How much of a drop is currently on your car
3) 18's; 19's; 20's
4) Impressions (both good and bad)
5) first hand experience of what is "too low" in regards to drivability, rubbing ect
6) POST A PIC OF SAID DROP

1) Washer method - with my own little twist
2) Top of fender to ground is 24" in front
3) OEM 18s
4) Sport 2 really gets it slammed, but too harsh for daily usage
5) I rub pulling into sharply angled driveway/parking lots

1) links
2) tucking tire
3) stockers and 19x8.5/10.5 with 245F/285R
4) on 19's, rides still pretty smooth, just watch out for potholes. sport 2 is fine for me but others may deem it a bit bouncy/stiff.
5) It's never TOO low but seriously I've had major issues when the car's been super low rubbing on the suspension components with the 18's. I needed to use spacers in the back to prevent the tires from hitting the sway bar. no issues with the 19's so I plan on going lower lol

yes you will see the car slightly drop when sport mode is engaged.

The Renntech ELM with remote is actually made for them by a company. Holyboy hooked me up straight with the supplier and a discount code and I save a ton. I had a Renntech with remote on my E55 and then this other one from this company on my CLS55 and it was the SAME exact thing down to the instructions like holyboy said. Get a hold of him and if he needs more then one to do the discount code, im all in. I need another anyways.

BT, you knew the answer to this before you even asked it. The ELM is going to the be the most elegant solution, followed by a set of lowering links. But just say NO to washers. Honestly, most of the cars pictured above, while sexy, would be impossible to drive for any length of time at that height.

You're somebody that understands driving dynamics, and you'll need the flexibility that an ELM will afford you. You show your car, race your car, and toss the keys to your wife on occasion. You're going to need to be able to setup your suspension accordingly. Now, you can do this with links as well. But that would require the knowledge of how to use a floor jack. You don't want me to tell that story.

Tell you what....you don't mention my "Debacle at the dyno", and I'll keep my mouth shut about your proficiency in "Floor jack dynamics".

Not true, I daily drive mine over speed bumps, steep driveways, potholes, etc. all year long. Although I realize it can be a nuisance to drive so low for some people.

Go with the Renntech ELM.. Even if you just get the v1 model, its still not that hard to adjust (takes about 5 mins).. Dont cheap out

Links here, 18's and no rubbing at all, this is with sport 2 mode on, and that is how I role unless someone wants to run, then she goes into comfort. I do bottom out my dumps coming off my electric cutouts quite a bit:

I have the Renntech V3 ELM. Like it alot as i can plug into laptop and change settings. I should have gotten the remote but that was another $700.

If emoving has the connection, then go with the ELM that Renntech rebadges and resell. Jeremey OE tuning also has a connection on the vendor that sells to Renntech too. Below is a one finger gap between wheel well and tire. Its about 2.25 on the Renntech ELM setting.

1) Links and a slight Shardul star raising job in the *** end because I couldnt be bothered getting under the car and messing with the rear link which is a bit of a PITA
2) low but not too low
3) 19's
4) no problems drive around town, and I now even get great even tire wear thanks to my K-mac bushings in the front and rear.
5) I dont rub at all,

I did exactly what HBR posted above and have no issues on the stock wheels. I may make the rear lower to match the front even but thats it.
You ****ers got some ***** big as church bells with how low some of you have gone in the above posts. I feel in sport 2 and washer method it is to stiff on highway above 7- mph. Otherwise comfort is just sweet all the time.

That CAUTION LOW CLEARANCE sign is what you can get with LOWERING LINKS brother. I had the links on my car for almost 2 years now and had no issues at all. I drive the car the way you see it in the picture, it is not a smooth ride at all with this setting, however with the beauty of AIRMATIC I hit the button and the car rides smooth like it did on stock wheels. The nice thing about links is that you can always adjust them to your exact likes at any time. I can literally stop the car on the road pull into a parking lot, take out my jack and in about 20 minutes I'm finished setting up my links to different specs. With links you don't spend a lot and get a lot, you also can always go back to standard links when you sell the car and still probably get 50% if not more of the $300 you spend.

Some of these cars on this thread are low as hell I thought I was low, WOW! to all you guys.
