Im going to meet with a sales guy at a local plastic fabrication factory near me and want to design a custom intake like the renntech/vrp boxes but a little bigger and made out of hard plastic.

Like the intake manifolds on some bimmers like the M3.

Suggestion: You should design the box to accommodate the 82mm TB, and add adapters for stock and 78mm throttle bodies.

If its about saving money but getting the show and go out of the airbox, we can do something like this.......either a all carbon fiber on the airboxes or the skull pattern with CF like on my airbox or get alittle and go bold with RED

I could never bring myself to pay an added premium on top of a performance part such as an airbox, just because it was made of cf.

The only thing I would possible hold reservation over in jumping to deep in to this and investing your money to get it made is to wait for the top mount intercoolers to come out and see how that goes as far as people buying them and what is removed. The airbox will be leaving in exchange for some kind of other air filter/intake type setup if you buy that intercooler kit correct? So that could potentially put a damper on interest for this airbox but then again that is all dependent on the price of your box and the price of the intercooler kit. I am sure the intercoolers are going to be pricey just for the pure fact of it being for an AMG vehicle and not a Civic so the benz tax will probably double the cost of what it should be sold for and many won't end up buying because of that so the box could be attractive for a little mod if priced reasonably.

I'm going to ask them today.This place is across the street from my mb dealer and I got the idea when I went in to order a tb cable.

If I were to guess the box would be around 600 depending on what there cost would be to make.The intercoolers are in another level and ill bet my car there over 5 grand lol

If they are even close to $5k then EvoSport needs to put down the pipe. In all honesty if they were $2500 they still need to put down the pipe but with the stupid prices of some items for these cars like a carbon fiber airbox for one then it would not surprise me one bit.
