E55 vs C63? Performance? Value?
E55 vs C63? Performance? Value?
How is the performance comparison between the 08-11 C63 with an E55?
And what do you guys think about value? The 63 can be had for about $45k where an e55 with aftermarket warranty is around $30k.

Umm no. The c63 handles better and shifts quicker although the e55 is mod friendlier in term of cost and will make more straight line power which is better for everyday use such as overtaking on the freeway.the torque band is also completely different and the 6.2 tends to respond a bit quicker than the slighty sluggish 55k.

. I would also argue that "relatively" speaking, e55's may be less expense to mod but it's still not an inexpensive proposition (unless you do you're own wrenching and can cut down on labor costs)....

"performance" is usually defined in this forum as 1/4 times - they're basically the same modded or not - other than that - like stated before - totally different...

bang for buck I would say the torque in the 55k is so much more fun to play with then the 63's, but honestly I would go test drive both and then make your decision. I test drove both and ended up going with the E55 because of the lively engine and the fact that I bought the car outright from the dealer, no need for payments as with the C63.
