how to remove headlight bulb

Ok so i thought doing an hid kit on my e55 would be 20 min tops as my audi's took about that... but its been 15 min and i can get the fricken bulb out cuz i cant see in the housing... anyone have a pic of the mechanism that holds bulb in? i can barely fit my hand in there so i really cant figure out how its held in... i thought a little metal cage wire that you just flip off but i cant feel one

update** i decided not to take the whole headlight assembly out as it looked like a pain in the gluteusassimus! so i just installed the DDM H7 35w HID kit without removing the assembly which made for some scratchy hands (looks like i molested a cat lol) but finally got it installed after some annoying moments...

totally worth it though as might lights are fricken wayyyy briighter now! so bright i had to stop and check if my fogs where on cuz when i turned them on an off i couldnt tell if they were on or not... guess i need to order a HID fog kit too now i think i will go with yellows to contrast the 6000k's i just intalled

i think these are as bright as my bright lights!
