E55 AMG COSTS!!!!!!!! please help thanks
hello, I have been looking at the E55 amg and am just wondering on how much the cost to fix things are and is this car just a really expensive car to take care of. Also on the other hand how is insurance on these on a 2004-05 also. I know its hard to really give an exact answer but ballpark how much like way more then other 4 doors or around the same.
As a side note I was reading these cars do around 0-60 in 4.5 then on others i read 3.8 to 4.0? and the quarter in 12.5 but then some say 11.9 to 12.2? so just asking for some insight on all these things thank you =)

0 to 60 times is up to you. You could get to 60 in 3.8 seconds or 15 seconds in a smoke show. In the quarter mile if you are good driver and the DA is below a 1000 you should run 12.1-12.5 stock. But if your IC pump is bad expect 13's.

2) Call your own Ins guy and I am sure he will give you a free quote
3) As you probally know, times vary based on temp, track, driver, car, engine, weather ect.

E55 AMG, 72' Toyota Carina, 63' Ford F100, 72' Mercedes 250c, 15' Harley Davidson Softail
Having owned an STi, your maintenance will be noticably higher and repairs will be much higher regardless of whether you go to an indy or DIY. Parts are just expensive and mpg will slightly suffer a bit depending on your driving habits. 35r your suby and call it a day, mods cost an arm and leg in comparison to the suby.
How old are you? That's going to play a big role in your insurance costs.

And no need to use so many exclaimation points, and oh maybe a question mark if you're asking a question.

I will say this, people look at AMG as a very desirable car to have. But the fact that these cars can be bought on the cheap now, doesn't negate the fact, that their expensive to repair. When these cars were new, they ran $100K. Now their being bought for less than $30K in some circumstances. But despite this fact, these cars still retain the repair prices of $100K car. Although you can get most repairs done rather somewhat cheaply now. But not in all cases. Just keep that in mind. A extended warranty is always preferred.

Just to put a few things into perspective:
Oil change: 9 quarts of Mobil 1 0W-40 @ 8.79/qt (AutoZone) = $79.11 before taxes, filter, labor, etc.
Spark plugs: 16 Bosch $8+/plug = $128 before taxes, labor, etc.
It can get expensive; beast of a car though!!

That was well written and he makes good points, but in the end you're still driving a Honda or Hyundai. They are perfectly fine cars, but even brand new ones don't have the pananche or build quality of my "old" 2007 E63. I'd rather pay a bit more and drive a unique and rare car over a transportation appliance any day. And of course there are few new cars that can even come within 200hp of ours.
