damn these pumps are junk!!!

So for the life of me I cant figure out why my car is sometimes fast at the track and sometimes slow even on a cool down.

went to bleed the car and nothing came out of the nipple with the pump on.

Is there something Im missing? there should be fluid coming out right.

Did you pinch the return line? The one closest to the SBC pump? It makes things MUCH easier. Also, make sure the engine is at normal operating temperature as it seems to make things easier as well.

Pinch the line, the amount of water that flows out will be enough to reach the trunk of your car...lol.

I have no idea, I don't even have the EVAP system installed in my car.

just took it for a ride and ran into a brand new black on black sl65 BLACK SERIES.Its the 3rd time I saw the old guy driving it and I should of turned around as he pulled into dunkins to check it out.

Now I know where he goes before work so ill try to go to that same dunkins to try to run into him again.

Im sitting about 17-23 above ambient and it drops down fast after I get on it.Will see how I do at the track tonight,no time to really bleed it before work

I bled mine the other day...took me a whole 3 minutes and I wasn't even at home. I just got a random vacuum hose that friend had, got a vice grip to remove the clamp on the nipple plug, and ran the vacuum hose to the coolant reservoir and let it sit there for a minute and put it all back together. Literally 3 minutes total.

Just went through this. Evap is super hard. Make sure fuel tank less than a half tank at idle but more than 1/4.

Than basically just drive her around on the highway between 55-60 (yeah I know...near impossible) but it has to be done.

Just set the cruise and it should set after awhile.

Fuel tank is the biggest reason why some guys never setup.

You pinch the line right below the nipple where you hook the other hose up to bleed it. Do it right from the top, no need to get under car. You can see the vice grips in my video I linked on the line right below the clear hose I have connected.
