I remember when you said this a few years ago and i was running 25psi in my 275/30/19 street tires with a best et of 12.2 then I switched to 36psi and went 12.0. I also started running more consistent 60' with 1.8's vs 1.9's & 2.0's.

I've never tried 30+ psi in my drag radials I know Alan cut a 1.62 in his car with my setup @ 20 psi

Tbal, get the psi up and start at 32psi and get in a couple of runs at that pressure then work your way down to 20psi. Every two runs drop 4psi, make sure that you heat the tires before your run with a nice burnout. Good luck!

I usually did all my runs with dyno mode on, suspension on comfort, and raised as high as it would go. Usually had my tires right around 17-18PSI

Drive around the water box and back up, get the rear tires wet and then come out a foot in front of the water. Do a nice burn out for a few seconds until you can see a bit of smoke. Then let the car roll out. Slow on the brakes soon after and start creeping to the light. As soon as the first light lights up, slow down and as soon as the second light hits, stop. At the line and hit the gas pedal until you hit about 800-1k in the rpm's. Go on the second yellow light. Release the brakes as fast as you can and push the gas pedal like you were going to go through the firewall.

That's what I did and solid 1.6's all day every day.

I'm with loco tbal. Some 55s just DIE when trying to burnout while some don't. We discussed this a year it so back. You may have to do burnouts in dyno or full runs in dyno. Higginsbeach could burn in dyno and pop it out in secs for run in normal mode. Amazing and harder than it looks with everyone watching.

Normally burnouts aren't a Problem... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DR0uG...e_gdata_player

Lol, your right at the track it's different. What's the difference driving through the water box ad driving around it and backing into it?

street tires (mainly the fronts) trap water in the treads and carry it forward to the starting line...not ideal for traction.

Its simple
You give me the keys "Mr. Bolton" and your car goes .5 faster. Worked on Q's car will work on yours.
