Picked up some HREs today - need advice

Thanks guys. I appreciate all of the contructive input. I'm still comparing technical specs between the Hankook, Continental, Nitto and Michelin tires. I'll probably select whichever tires are the lightest out of the bunch as I'm nitty about reducing weight on my vehicles.
I'll be doing the touchup myself assuming I can find a good color match paint for the rims. There are just a some minor nicks in the finish, nothing worth dissassembling and refinishing the wheels for. They will look brand new by the time I get done with them :-)
Everyone keeps telling me to lower the car, but I think it looks fine and I don't want to compromise ride quality or end up ripping my chin spoiler or exhaust off just to look cool. The exhaust already touches the speed bumps at my work and the previous owner scuffed up the front bumper pretty good with the stock ride height. If anything, I may lower it 1/2" with STAR but I need to replace the supercharger clutch, belt and pulleys first.
I installed the carbon fiber chin lip/spoiler today and I'm happy with the way it turned out. CF rear diffuser will go on shortly also. Here are some pics I snapped off with the HIDs turned on. Car still needs to be properly detailed but haven't had the time to clay, polish, buff, etc. It's my daily driver.

PM me the serial number on the back of your HRE's so that i can confirm which lug bolts you need... most of the monobloks were built for ball seat (factory lug bolt) while the 3pc while are built for conical... but i'd like to make sure before anyone sends you the wrong lug bolts. Great pickup!

OK, so I'm going to order a full set of Continental Extreme Contact DW tires for these rims. I also sent the HRE wheel serial numbers to James and will order the DPS lugnuts this week. Will post pics of the rims and tires installed on the car very soon

Depending on what needs to be done to refinish your HRE, will be quoted a different price. It is also very difficult to properly quote pricing for refinishing a wheel unless we have the wheels in our possession. We also, do not repair rim parts, if it is damaged, we will replace it.
As tgoss stated, when we return the wheels, it will be back to new.

Continental Extreme Contact DW tires were ordered today. Still need DPS lugnuts if anyone has the part numbers for these rims. I have the serial numbers off the wheels if needed, thanks.

So I got the HREs installed this weekend. I absolutely LOVE these things. Car looks menacing now and also seems to handle better with the 19s ![naughty](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/naughty.gif)
I have the DPS lugnuts sitting in the kitchen and will install them next weekend. I actually curb rashed the RR wheel yesterday pretty badly. I could have kicked my own *** for that. Will get it repaired soon, it's only cosmetic.
Next up is a carbon fiber rear diffuser and then the power mods begin. I want deep 11s out of the black beast. I had a 10-second 750HP GMC Syclone before this car so I'm already itching for more power. I'm absolutely loving this car so far, though!![Cool](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/cool.gif)

Thanks. I'm still debating whether or not I want to lower the car. It's already low enough to scrape the front bumper and exhaust if I'm not careful and I don't want to sacrifice ride quality. If anything, I may just do a very slight drop with STAR. One thing I forgot to mention is I weighed the HREs with new Continental Extreme Contact DW tires and they are 50 lbs. each vs. the stock 55 lb. wheel/tire setup so I removed 20 lbs. of rotating mass from the car as an added benefit :-)

Just drive a little carful on driveways and such, you'll be fine. And you ride on airbags man, the ride quality is still great when lowered. I promise.

Thanks guys. What's the easiest way to lower slightly through STAR? Is there anyone in the San Jose area with the tool and knowledge? Will the sport1, sport2 and comfort settings still work and raise/lower the car accordingly?
