Drive-dynamic seats: level 1 vs. level 2

In my '03 E55 you can set the drive-dynamic seats to level 1 or level 2. Anybody know what the difference is?

This relates to the intensity of the seat "reaction"to the cars movement. Level 2 is a more reactive seat than Level 1

I have sat in a few different 03 E55 recently. I noticed that the side boosters are pretty tight on me. I am not a huge person either. If I had a passenger that wanted to sleep, it would be much more comfortable without such a tight fit on his/her body.

Can you adjust how tight the side boosters fit to the person's body? These cars had the dynamic seats.

Yes, the side bolsters are adjustable.

From them not even touching the sides of your body, to giving you a tight squeeze! Pretty much the same as the std multi-contour seats from memory.

My experience with the SL55 is that you will always feel the side boster, even whn it is fully deflated--- it will never feel like the S. I suspect that if someone is very, tired, he could fall asleep in it. It is no Barcalounger though.

Thanks for the posts. For my family and friends, the ability to sleep while I am driving determines if they like my car.

Thanks for the input.

What about the Massage Function

How does that work?

The lumbar support moves up and down the seat back to massage your back--it's nice on long rides--stays on for 5 or 10 minutes. If you've ever flown in United first class, you know what I mean.
