Disappointed with my car performance on dyno !!!!
Well, I did tune the car couple of days ago and I ended up with almost 475 rwhp and around 520 rtq on DYNO Mustang which usually read low.
My mods are:
- OE Tuning Tune.
- Brabus Pulley (168mm I believe)
- KLEEMANN headers
- 82MM TB
- 550 cc Fuel injector + TTM design rail
- CF python + CF airbox
- Bigger HE (PLM)
- Upgraded IC pump (Mezerie)
- K&N filters
- Water/Methanol kit:
- Dual nozzles.
- Nozzle one post TB and Pre SC 189 cc/min (D003, devil's own)
- Nozzle two post IC 441 cc/min (D007, devil's own)
- Brabus Exhaust
- No cats
- No Resonator
Am I missing something here to get these number?
Ok, apart from track number which some of the members will say ignore the dyno, but we all know it is a reference to determine the power of the car and I would stay it is one of the indicator of how much power the car put

They call it the heartbreaker dyno for a reason. Like skratch said, numbers are healthy.

A mustang dyno is low reading but is also a different dyno from a dynamics which is known as the heart breaker. That is, you have very strong numbers given you don't have a big pulley and you don't have true longtubes. You numbers are actually very stout for your mods.

Also provide your AFR's and if the Meth kit was on during the run. You could be running a bit rich as a result of the Meth since Jeremy doesn't always tune out the meth unless you really ask him to.

Sorry I posted before refreshing but it does look like you could lean it out a bit since your AFR is under 11.

Thanx guys for your comments, I can not deny, the car feels stronger than before the tune. Once again, Thanx a lot Jeremy from OE Tuning, he spent the time working on the tune although he was coming from the airport on early morning flight and gave me great support online while the car on dyno. Would loved if I could do datalogging while dyno that would help a lot.

Your graph also suggests that your tune is pretty rich up top and there is still some power left on the table. I would suggest that is because of the Meth.

now, one question, this car, I have read and heard a lot about, it takes some driving to adapt even after the tune to reach to it's actual level. is that true?

Don't stress about the numbers. As long as you can get the track numbers you want, who cares?
I for one, want low dyno numbers. The more people's jaw's drop when they see the times I run.

Which dyno Ahmed did you use !!
i thought your pulley was 172 !! from the size that day i saw it.
i remmember my car got 505rwhp and 540rwtq on dyno mustang (project X) shop.
i think your car has more power in it if you add larger pulley.
or you can go the easy way and install a smaller S/C pulley. i can manage it for you.
you need more boost.

Find a DynoDynamics dyno and really get your heartbroken. :-) I've got the exact same setup as you (but with a Kleeman 168), no cats & cutouts...and only put up 425 on that total heartbreaker.
470 is definitely solid.

I could almost bet that meth was used on that run. It is super rich across the rpm range and if you have it leaned out to say 11.5 across the range, you would be over 500rwhp I believe.
BUT, that would be tuning for the meth, and just say your meth system got faulty on a WOT run, you would be subject to a very lean condition.
I would leave it as is, and take it to the track first to see what she does.

Ahmed what did you dyno prior to this?
did you use the same dyno?
if not you should always use the same dyno so you can see before and after

My car made 471rwhp/570rwtq on a dynamics dyno with the mods in my sig for comparisons sake.
I too like BenzoBoi love low numbers and fast track times

Ok guys, thanx for your feedback, comments and information. I am using Water/Meth for 2 thinngs, cooling and Power. For cooling, I could see it on the datalogging works fine, but in terms of power I am not sure if that is the best, but I would wait until weather cools down a little bit as temprautre was 36 deg C (97 deg F). I did dyno at the beginning of the year, Feberuary where temprature was around 13 - 18 deg C (55 - 64 deg F) and that was before (550 CC injectors + TTM fuel rail, CF air box and tubes, and Water/Meth kit) and The car put 461 rwhp and 506 rtq and AFR was so lean that I had no idea about it 13.3 on same dyno.
Later this year after installing the injectors and water/meth kit, I dyno and I got 442 rwhp and 505 rtq with AFR decreasing from 12 through the run reaching down to 10.7 that was on August where temprature was 46 deg C (115 deg F)
This dyno 477 rhp and 520 rtq wih AFR some how rich around 10.85 in average.
BenzoBoi, I hope that I got good numbers , we will see after the formula 1 even finishes middle of next month
Forrest_Gump_9 I will do that later in the year when the weather gets cold
GT-ER, I will spray water in time for sure, but If i didn't use Methanol, then how comes the theory of using methanol to get more hp will be wrong !!!
Ali_E55, well I did with you last time 498 rhwp (Extreme performance dyno) and then later with 82mm TB I did 533 rhwp (without tune) on different dyno (ALSA dyno)
BRABUS786, if it was Dyno-comp dyno, i would be in the range of 570 - 590 rwhp
Blk55K, nice numbers
Pullejo, accorind to your numbers yeah, I am ok
Chawkins2001, I am still consfused, why using water/meth if it will drop my hp when it goes rich !!!! I used the kit to get more hp and cooling but when off according to the theory, you go leaner and you get more hp than if u spray meth !!! I would like my AFR to be 11.3 so if a fault happened still I will be fine even in hot weather, it may go 12.2 - 12.5 which is ok.
Zod, well, until now i am still confused with the numbers, but I don't deny that the car pulls stronger now.
lowprofil, you are right, other factors are important too.
