New PB's and some some interesting facts. . .

PB's

For the car - 11.44
For me 11.58

Interesting facts:

1) Fastest 0-60 3.3 seconds
2) Fastest 0-100 7.9 seconds
3) NEVER forget to turn off traction control while attempting to do a burn out on DRs
4) 20 inch Vossens have ZERO effect on 1/4 mile times (discounting, of course the lack of traction when comparing street tires to DRs)
5) every mod I've done after "just a tune" has reduced the 1/4 mile times by about .3 seconds
6) a 168 pulley really does go a long way
7) IAT's suck
8) While DRs make a big difference - they still don't level the playing field when it comes to drivers (all the best times were set when Clayton drove my car, not me)
9) I've meet some of the most genuine, generous, down to earth, overall great people through this forum.
10) 295's on the rears look good, sound good but do dick for traction...

Thanks brother but I should have clarified a little bit - the 20's ran an 11.9 with a 2.0 60ft with me at the wheel. When I put on the DRs that Ahmad let me borrow (by the way) I ran the 11.5 with a 1.7 60 ft. - the mph were the same at 119 with each run. If, I could hook up with the 20's, theoretically, the times would have been the same - sorry for the confusion brother. . .

Well done BT! Love the wheels. Seriously debating them for mine. There's some great peeps on this forum, like the guys who posted above me!

So based on your experiance would you say the best bang for the buck would be just a tune? Or a tune and a pulley?

I have done this too only on streets. I topped it with rolling past the staging lights and had to back up. All done at a red neck heaven track in the middle of the Indiana corn fields. The locals hooted and hollered at the silly benz (only non American car there). I think they were shocked when I walked the fast sounding GTO lined up next to me.

Nice runs by the way

I like those numbers...I'm running a Kleeman 168 still (bought a 172 but it wobbled so much it caused leaks) with long tubes & open exhaust (no cats & cut outs as well), EC HE, tune, drop ins...and have yet to make it to a track. I'm hoping mid 11's as well.

The dip in your rears is sick.

Who manufactured that 172? Did you buy it used?

Awesome job, BT! I'm telling you, your car is sneaky fast. There's such a difference in power delivery between our two cars. Driving yours and mine back to back really made me realize that our cars are closer than you may think, though. My car is more dramatic with it's "look at me" exhuast note, but your car is just nasty voilent on launch. What was my first 60' in your car....1.65 or something? That, my friend, is what you call an *** pucker launch. Your car makes no excuses for it's Jekyll/Hyde personality, while I have to pray to the German gods of lore, just to make my 600 do a burnout. I love driving the AMG cars, and yours impresses me every time you allow me to beat the snot out of it. That MF'er, hauls the mail!

I have no doubt that with more experience launching on DRs, you'll be able to best my time in your car. I guess I'm just more aerodynamic than you are.
