Question for every one !!!!!!

I'm looking for a E55 amg. I live in Portland OR and there are not many e55 around. I wanted to know what everyone thought of this car?

Thank you for the help and advice.

Do you have a link to the fullsize? You can't really read anything or see any details with it like that.

'03 models will generally have the most problems. You'd be better off getting an '05-'06 E55 instead.

First thought is the car has Command and that was not available on the 03s. So we know it was modded. Whether engine was modded and then back to stock is anyone's guess. Heck maybe it still has pulley on it.

Least that gives you some insight.

The mileage is too high, I wouldn't buy it for $20K. Fair price maybe around $16K and that has to be after market rear dvd player.

Looks very clean for a 2003. MB should have service records available for vin. Call local dealer, and ask for a copy. That should tell you a lot. 20K seems fair.

If the car was well maintained, and still stock (minus command install), it may be a very good deal. 03s however have had more issues that 04-06

Good luck!!

Mileage is way too high. I bought my 2004 with 20,000 on it for 31k or so. Keep looking.

A "cheap" E55 may eat you alive in maintainence costs down the road, pay for a well maintained example or one with a warranty. This is still a $100k car when it comes to repair costs, everything will be more expensive compared to your vette.

FASN8N,
I was meaning that I'm not in the market for a 25k + pulse car.I'm sure the maintenance cost will be high. I will most definitely be looking for a well maintained car.
IF you see any e55 please let me know!!!!

This would be a better option for your price range, most of the expensive repairs have already been performed under warranty.
