Looks like me and Steve are out... Track temps at that time are going to be 45° and dew should be settling at around that time. He doesn't want to drive the distance for the Slip & Slide...
I think he spoke to Kevin @ Buckhead this morning about it, not positive on that one.
Looks like we'll be hitting Bowling Green in the morning... bright sun, warm asphalt and cool temps (should be good D-A as well)

if it was the only option we would make the trip. but we also have bowling green ky less than 2 hrs away that does a 11:00 to 5:00 sat run for 10$. habving that option we (myself and anthony) decided it wasnt worth the trip with track temps in the low 40's. if you have ever been on a slick track at 100 mph+ you know what i mean. sorry if we dissapointed anyone , i wanted to meet the group and see jasons wicked m5 but cant see driving down for a no grip nite. look at the temps from 6 pm to 12 am. great for power close to unsafe for racing. add 85% humidity and imo its just dangerous

marcus it was actually me that wanted the 4 date so we could combine the fri runs with a car show on sat. heres the forecast for fri nite.

it just has gotten f''n cold here and without any sunlight to keep the track warm it isnt worth it. i called jason at buckhead imports and spoke with kevin and told them we were going to pass on tonite. i wish they would reconsider as well and maybe take advantage of the sunday session at steele. its during the day and with the sun out they will do much better. i hate backing out as you know ill drive just about anywere to race! ( timmayfest!) how bout you bringing that beast of yours to bowling green! entry fee is on me!

no thread marcus. bowling green has a sat test and tune sat 11/5 and the next sat before they close the track down for the winter. along with the t/t they have gamblers race or wild street races you can enter if you want to race for money. 10$ for t/t i think 100$ for the wild street with 100% payback to the winner. you canmake around 10 passes in the 6 hrs with cooling time if you want. as the paying races drop the amount of racers the t/t gets quicker moving thru the lanes. let me know if you want to go as i said entry fee on me for the t/t and ill even toss in lunch!

guys i didnt want to start any s*#tstorm here. i know jason well and also marcus. friends with all. craig i wish all the best tonite but please be careful. slick tracks with your kinda hp can be a dangerous combo. maybe we can get together in atl for lunch one weekend and tell war stories!
