I will never run nitrous on my E55. I have killed 3 motors in my 91 Mustang that is a full drag set up and it is just too expensive. I was pissed off when I blew a little 302 that cost nost even $3000 to rebuild, I cant imagine doing that to my 55. If you decide to go that route best of luck to you I just think there are too many other ways to make power with these cars other then a baby bottle.

Would a little 50 wet shot be good? Just to cool things down a bit on those hot and humid summer days?

5-hp per cylinder is really nothing -- as long as your timing is not really advanced -- and no engine problems --- the engine should be able to handle it

The biggest issue I have witnessed with N2O kits is not with the N2O itself, but the owners. Typically they are looking for cheap horsepower and are on a budget. They run with no wideband or fuel pressure gauge and have no game plan for user error, faulty solenoids, wiring issue, etc.

it is possible and some guys did it here in UAE without a fail.

some did it manual and some had it controlled by a device to spray and it changes the amount of spraying depending on gear or RPM/Speed. ( not exactly sure ).

their cars were way too fast.

But Albert (an engineer) is car savvy, he was way ahead of the curve back in 2005 (when a short block was $45,000.00) he pretty much knew what he was doing. So I find it hard to encourage someone that needs help finding the fuel & pressure. Just Saying there are better first mods.

I guess I should have clarified. I was asking "where" to get the fuel from in a sense of what's the best location, to save myself the trouble.

In E46 M3's, there is a product that nitrous express makes that pretty much "snaps and screws" into the fuel line underneath the car somewhere (it's been a while, I forget). And I was asking about fuel pressure because that has a bit to do with a wet shot (doesn't mean that I would not verify or run a fuel pressure gauge)

And, for the other posts... I was planning on using a wide-band, RPM window switch and a lean shut-down switch.

But didn't do it and not going to do it anyway.

Yeah, I just came across the thread lol figured I'd respond.

A lot of people are afraid of nitrous because of other people no knowing exactly what they are doing.

It's "unsafe" because it's easy to mess up. People think that you can just put a nozzle into your intake and press a button and go.

It's not much different than a S/C or turbo, it increases cylinder pressure, just does it in a different way.

Just a substitute for the forced air you in putting into your motor with a S/C or Turbo motor... still allowing you to burn more fuel because there is more oxygen available.

And the torque from nitrous....

So someone running a 205mm or even 190mm bottom pulley.... doesn't have much room to talk.

Go with bolts on for the 10`s. Pulley`s, tune, long tubes, cooling mods, tires , few diet mods , larger TB, then find a good track and cool weather and you are there. Stock pistons, and n20 are not a good combo.

The CL55 at JSBenz has a 172, kleeman headers, and a 200 shot.

nitrous is in no way worse then taking a pullied supercharged car and hammering on it in hot weather.
