Ordered some new wheels
I currently have some Vossen CV2's on my car. Problem is that with the wrong offset I was forced to put on 15mm spacers. I can't get rid of some very mild vibration once it hits 70mph and up. I remounted them. Even had them professionally mounted from a local shop along with an alignment. Still there.
So I purchased a set of Roderick RW6 wheels with Nitto Invo tires. Also picked up a set of black powder coated lugs. Slightly different than the Vossens. The Rodericks have a polished, clear coat type finish, which I think I'll like.
$3,100 shipped... wheels, tires, TPMS sensors, custom black lugs and Mercedes centercaps. They arrive next week, hopefully.
Whatchu think?

Yeah, I actually really like the CV2's. I actually called ElementWheels.com to buy a proper set of Vossens. They were not in stock and would basically take an extra week for me to get.
We got to talking, looked at other options and found the Rodericks, which are made by MRR. To me, they look just as good, perhaps a little "cleaner" to me with the polished finish, whereas the CV2's have a matte finish. The RW6's have 8 pairs of spokes, whereas the CV2's have 7.
They are making custom offsets for me, +32 up front and +35 in the rear, as recommended by Roderick. Apparently, the wheels are made as blanks and they make custom offsets/fitments to order.

I think you get what you pay for. Sensors are almost $700 and tires are probally a grand which means your rims cost around a thousand. Just saying. I had MMRs on a Lexus and I know they are cheapo rims.

My issue with less costly wheels is that not much is really known about them - where they're made, how they're made, whether they've really passed any third party quality standards (e.g., TUV) etc. How long the company has been around, safety concerns, manufacturing uniformity, etc.
I do get the notion of getting what you pay for, but there are some very expensive wheel brands out there that bend from a Hardly Recognizeable Event. Been there, done that, more than once.
For the OP, looks good.

Yes, I paid $300 for the sensors, installed, and $90 for lugs. The wheels are $1,500 for four. The tires are about $1,200.
MRR is a large manufacturer. According to their website, "All MRR wheels manufactured have been in tight quality control from our factory and have been inspected by the Vehicle Inspection Association (VIA), Japanese Light Weight alloy (JLW) and TUV."
A new set of CV2's would cost $650 more. That ain't that much difference. Vossen makes a quality wheel. I'm sure I'll be fine with Roderick.
