OK I didn't think that was normal by any means. I called and my extended warranty covers all the air suspension components except the actual air shocks themselves. So I will get it on the lift soon at my friends shop and figure out what's going on exactly.

So your warranty covers the air pump, distribution block, air lines, reservoir tank, but not the air shock or strut.
That is the most expensive part of the whole system. I hate warranty companies, as their always trying to screw you.

Well done with the video - tells a much better story.
For the sake of the thread, I would say that "normal" is more like 5-6mm of drop after a couple of days. Plus, in my case the drop is pretty uniform at all four corners. Yours is obviously much more than that!
Good Luck!

Hey thanks! I knew the video would give a better description of what's happening. Hopefully I can get it fixed under warranty soon. I just have to wait for my buddy to make room for me in his busy schedule.

I strong concern amongst both the E55 and E63 owners obviously, is the failures of the airmatic system. Especially when your car is out of warranty, as this can get quite expensive to repair. A few owners have converted over to a steel suspension setup. There are no guarantees, but one thing is for certain, that it will fail eventually. I remember reading a thread, were one owner bought a used rear air spring, and converted it to use on either side of the car. Since Arnott hasn't followed through with building their rear airsprings.

that was me and the airbag itself is universal once separated from the hoses and reservoir. since most rear failures occur on the driver's (left) side there are far more useable removed passenger side bags available.

OK guys I'm happy to say that I finally got my car to my buddy's shop and we found the leak! Check out the pics and video. It ended up being the hose where it connects to the aluminum overflow or reserve tank on the drivers side. We did the old soapy water leak test and found the bubbles.

The bubbles at the bottom of the hose are where the air is leaking out.

wow. definately there's a leak somewhere..not sure how come both sides are dropping like that but its scary and you should get it fixed before it worsens. Please keep us updated as to the diagnosis and cost of this repair as it will definately help others like myself to be aware of. Too bad Arnott doesn't make the rears but you can still call and ask.

Thanks guys and I'm glad to help you guys with any future issues by posting this. I got it fixed and covered under warranty no problem. It no longer leaks and actually holds air overnight. I'm glad to have it fixed. Now on to bigger and better things. LOL

Yep they actually would have. When my buddy called MB parts they said the black rubber hose and clamp are all part of the air shock so you would have to get the whole assembly which is like $1,050. F that. Sure glad we fixed it with a heavy duty hose clamp.
