THE DILEMMA

I'm faced with a HUGE dilemma, which way do i go with my first round of mods? I can do 180mm, H/E with mezierre pump, klees, and TTM fuel rail/injectors. Or I can do 180mm, H/E with mezierre pump, and the TTM/ARH Long tubes. What a fawkin choice. Which way should I go? Advice needed!!!

180mm, H/E with mezierre pump, klees, and TTM fuel rail/injectors.

Safety is a good way to start... do long tubes etc later fuel rail/injectors is good bet. And more importantly than anything, dont forget the TUNE! Eurocharged and OE both offer that.

While I'd personally skip the fuel rail, I would definitely get injectors due to the fact that on my car running the larger pulley automatically made my injectors static from 5500rpm to 6500rpm when is a big deal.

I would do longtubes he and pump first. Plenty of added power, cooling and constant fun with no issue of fuel problems.

This may also not be a bad idea...I've plenty of fast E55's on the stock pulley.

70rwhp/50rwtq should be attainable with longtubes and a tune. That should be good for mid 11s. AWOL hit 11.5 at 121.5mph with this setup, except he only had aftermarket shorty's.

Yep totally agree - hit 11.7 on street tires with Klee's and a box tune (stock pulley, stock heat exchanger). . .I think it depends on how you drive - if you anticipate doing full load high triple digit runs all the time - fuel rail. . . if it's an occasional blast - I personally would save it for later.

180 Pulley, pump, and LT route. Either the fuel rails or TB as the next mod after.

Guys I am playing catch up here while reading , can someone educate me please.. by " Klees " you mean Kleemann Headers ? Can I get a link showing explaining " TTM" ... 180 refers to the TB Ia m assuming , where is the best source nowadays " Other than Renntech " for the TB ? Can the HE with a better pump be DIY ? What is involved ? Thanks much , Max

1) yep Klees - Kleemann headers
2) search for TTM fuel rail and the thread with the specs and benefits will come up
3) 168, 172, 178, 180, 190 all refer to pulley sizes -TB's are usually 80 and 82
4) Don't know about the throttle bodies but call Bruce at TTM and he'll walk you through all the options and where to source them
5) it can - but the front bumper has to come off - search the DIY's - Shardul had a great write up on how to do it!!!!!

Id do:

1) Pump and H/E
2) Headers and tune
3) Pulley
4) TB

With those mods that should net you about 100 rwph or so.. The car stock has cooling issues, so tackling the cooling first would be your best bet..

When is fuel rail needed? I always thought with the 180 it was needed, or car go boom?

So they say...I know for a FACT that the injectors are static though so that really does actually need replacing.

Option #1 all the way!

Here's why, driveability. The rails/injectors with tune made a dramatic difference for me. Now, most of the aftermarket parts listed are only going to shine when you are stomping on it. Not so, with the rails/injectors, everything is better. From dropping the kids off at school to brushing off some Shelby Cobra, the benefit are continually experienced. I was impressed enough to write a quick thread about them.

Don't take me for some grandpa either. My E ran 11.1 @126 last year, and I feel it is even quicker today!
