My e63 was bought from all the $ from those salvage cars.

I LOVE SALVAGE..... I am looking for a 911 Turbo ....YEP SALVAGE...

If you like that car and going to keep it stock or mod a bit buy it... they are solid cars...
You re right .. BUT he is nowhere even near the 1/2 price !

if you buying cash ...COPART.... check every week

I see some nice cars on COPART IAAI... and they will be 1/2 price once finished.
Get a car with skin damage missing wheels but make sure what ever you get is fully loaded. IF you going to get a salvage car make sure it is fully loaded.
Also try to buy local so you can go see the car before bidding.

Thank you , interesting site .. that was the first salvage I have ever gave any thought .. I would have no doubt that many cars called total loss may have less issues than what some of us have had ourselves ..I guess it would depend on the insurance agency and what they accept as total loss .

if you are not in a rush ...you can get a real sick deal

I look for fully loaded and cars that I can go see in person. Remember parts (body) is the same as any E class door fenders lights...
You are keeping this car so I would convert to E63 looks. when done you will have money for upgrades wheels aftermarket wrnt and like Emoving stated better then most of the clean title cars around.
Look for hail damage is the best... no floods.. most hail cars can be done with new roof skin hood and deck lid fresh paint and show room time...

I believe its a good buy but the price is too high. For Salvage title this car worth about $22K IMO. Come on ! not true about 1/2 value only for Salvage. 1/2 value might be before repairs. If you plan to keep it for a long time and can get it for a good price then go for it. There is a member who bought a salvage car about few months ago and turn out great with repairs. I remember the car cost $15k + repair = $19K but not as well equipped and low miles as this one. So $22K to $23K is more reasonable.

Good luck !

I would run away from this simply because he claims it's the only E63 Conversion out there with real MB parts. I think there are about ten people here who would disagree.

Low Miles and a 63 bumper .. thats really what this has going for it ...Now , difference between 35K Miles and lets say 50K miles dollar wise ?? Then , what does it cost to do a 63 bumper conversion ? The rest is the difference in value between a clean title vs. rebuilt = $ most likely more than the combined two above !! Now that assuming that the work in fact is as good as it looks in the pictures ! ( I havent seen it in person ) Then you take in consideration that even IF one can get an extended warranty it wont be through a tier 1 company ...NO I just think it DOESNT ADD UP ..... I do want to thank this forum ...the net CAN be a wonderful thing
