The EV12 finally makes it to the track!
Jody, I am sure you have seen the threads about the 3rd member ripping it's mounts out of the unibody. Sounds to me like you have enough torque to consider a backing plate or some kind of reinforcement to those mounts.
Good luck and keep up the good work!
on the plus side it will come pre-twisted this time
). It's also safer to use a CF shaft because it shreds to a million pieces upon failure and doesn't pierce through the floor or hit bystanders. It also dampens vibration and has an "elastic" property which allows for a bit of twist but then snaps back into it's original position which kind of acts sort of like KERS in the F1 cars.http://www.masscops.com/f79/driver-h...dshield-52462/
http://www.acpt.com/driveshaft/driveshafts.html#rpm
Take a look at the ACPT site, I agree with some of their points about the advantages of CF driveshafts but they also say a 5% increase of horsepower to the wheel was gained from a switch to CF
5%?!? That's 33% of the drivetrain lose reduced if we assume 15% is the usual loss. I don't buy that.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG

Your beast/girl was looking out for you. Make sure to add a driveshaft saftey loop once you get the new one put in.

Gonna have to step up the prayer support over here for ya.
I am a worry wort.....don't mind me. You be careful though mang!
I dont know wether to hate the car or love it.
It's getting to a point where I just want to enjoy her...so the only way to do this is 1) put no drag radials 2)stay away from sticky surfaces such as the track.

Thank you all for the props but I really, really need to get some ET's for this car. This biatch needs to make it down the strip in 1 piece. Stay posted.

You REALLY need MPH, not ETs right now. ETs will come, but the MPH will tell us everything we need to know. I'm not telling you anything you don't know.
1. C/F driveshaft with safety loop
2. Bis Ply not drag radials
3. Reinforced axles
4. Quaife
5. Don't load up the converter, leave soft
6. Hammer the "I AM GOD" pedal at the 60ft mark
7. Take iPhone picture of dude driving '85 Fox Body with wheelie bars as you blow past him, with your seat massager on.
8. Get kicked out for going too fast without a roll cage or chute
9. Post 145+mph time slip
10. Listen to the Jakpro "MBWorld and V12Godspeed present, the EV12..." audio clip
Can't wait to see a full pass, bro...
