The EV12 finally makes it to the track!
I finally felt confident enough that I wanted to take the EV12 down the strip.
The staging lanes were so packed it took at least 20 minutes in line to hit the tree. IATs were in the 140's at idle by the time I got there, no ice and no cool down.
This is what happens when you stall the torque monster... I have a 3K stall on this ****, right at peak torque almost, she has to be putting north of 850rwtq at that point for her to pull this one off. Back to the drawing board...she has been parked for 2 weeks since incident, weather has been horrible we will get a modified drive shaft to hold her down. Stay posted.
I would like to thank Luis (loco 55), Mike (mertd93) and my brother Joel for taking the trip with me to the strip. Thanks to Luis for the Tow!
Here is a video, nothing special of the breakdown at launch, turbos came in too hard and drive shaft couldnt take it.

Damn Jody, not even a shakedown run?
I was so looking forward to this too, not that you weren't.
Carbon fiber drive shaft, comin' right up. This is exactly the reason I don't stall my car. I'm not making near the power as you, but even my car has the ability to grenade a diff, or snap an axle like a toothpick. Your car has the torque of a WWII tank. Baby that bad boy next time, and just MPH it....
I feel like crying a little bit.

Do you know what your problem is V12Godspeed, you have NO torque, a Civic has more torque man
Seriously though, tell me you don't feel like a badass, go post that thread on a VTEC forum, they'll get so depressed and commit mass suicide

You know you have plenty enough torque when you see failures like this!
Your Beast is definitely pissed!!

Nice job pulling off to the side right away, others just keep going when things break and soak the track in fluids.I used to shear and twist drive shaft like churro stix in the supra often.I am amazed how a MB can do this. Awesome ride! Cant wait to see it when you return. E-Town is my fav track too.
