I've never met Shardul but he is indeed great guy. He reached out to me to help me solve a problem with my car. He gave me his cell phone number and told me to call him anytime if I have any questions about the ride. I've called him several times and he has ALWAYS gone out of his way to help. Weather at work, late night, weekends, the guy is down for a troubleshoot session. (Not to mention he's an encyclopedia when it comes to this platform)

A+ in my book and my offer for beers still stands.

Interesting response.

From my point of view, the issue is not the terms of the suspension but the suspension itself and why. For example, what if the DMV suspended your license for 1 week but not a life ban? Or, if your employer suspended you without pay for 1 week but not fire you? Everything depends on the circumstances. Shardul, from my experience with him and years on this forum, has been a great contributor to this forum. From what I can tell, he is doing what members do - share experiences, ideas, pics and so forth. If Shardul was being offensive or something like that, then I can see warnings and then suspension if the warnings did not work. If Shardul was selling as an unpaid sponsor/vendor, then I can see the warnings and then suspension if the warnings did not work. However, if Shardul was sharing his experiences, posting about his project or doing what is intended by this forum, then that is a concern.

From the posts so far, I am assuming Shardul struck a cord somewhere with a vendor and a vendor complained(?). If that is the case, then I welcome the vendors to step up. Instead of suspending a good member, why not step up and start a thread about how or why your product is great or what you are working on? For example, when VRP was a vendor, he came up with a lot ideas and got a lot of business. TTM gets a lot of business from his response, threads and ideas - like the fuel rail. EC gets a lot of business from their threads, ideas and participation about EC tune. Kleeman gets a lot of business from their active participation in this site about their kits.

I do not know the circumstances of the suspension - which is why I asked the moderator to step in and explain.

The moderator might or might not tell us why or the circumstances. But, if the moderator wants members like me (who actualy spends money and spends money on vendors of this forum), then a response from the moderator is needed.

Jcjmw- from what I saw Shardul made a post about his new headers that he had custom made with pictures. Someone mentioned a group buy, but he said he could not do that because he was not a supporting vendor. He received quite a few PMs asking questions about them. Next thing you know the thread was deleted and he was suspended because a vendor complained. It seems hypocritical because there is a classified section on this forum specifically for members to sell stuff. Nowhere does it say what you can or cannot sell- at least that I have seen. I agree with you asking the mods to clarify!!

Shardul is a great guy, I have dealt with him. A part from that, he always gives support and help to the forum members.

Set of headers that he shared wit us, I think they made some of the vendors cry around and fear the reality that their damn products and prices (huge profits) are in danger, so they used the bad hand to silence the right voice !!!!!

MoDS! How many more names do you want? Its not about crying like women, or bickering about a suspension, its about SHARDUL. That name says it all.. There should be a page on Wikipedia or in webster's dictionary about him.

Either way, he should be unsuspended already. This actually doing more damage than good to all the vendors. One vendor didnt want shardul discussing his master piece headers, and complained hoping it would disappear. WRONG! You ignited a flame of Shardz!

I can see your point of view. However, from mine point of view, suspensions at a forum that influences where I spend my thousands of dollars is important. And in this economy and as a customer that will cotinue to spend money based on how I feel about my E55, I am still waiting for a response from the moderator.

If there is no moderator response to my concerns, then that means there is no reciprocal concerns about me as a member and potential customer. I will simple say f%^& it and take my E55 enthusiasm and money elsewhere.
