Quaifed My E63
After receiving umpteen low ball offers, then selling my Quaife w/install kit (twice) and finally having to repo it last month from a non paying local buyer (poor guy lost his job), I concluded it was just meant to go in my car, and finally took the plunge and had my indie install it in my E63.
Probably old news to the veterans here, but after driving with Quaife a couple of days, traction from a dig is MUCH better, no more spin and orange triangle from a 20 mph roll, and the "torque steer" from the open diff is completely gone. Car feels more planted and balanced all the time, it just does everything better. Very happy with the upgrade! I am going to have my dealer redo the alignment, it is off a tad from a dis/re assembly, but everything else turned out absolutely perfect, no visual evidence of the work at all, and diff is perfectly quiet as before.
Definitely recommend it, particularly for a tuned car, substantial overall improvement.

Good info!
I've read this sort of review before... It seems like one of those mods that everyone really likes but the exact sensation about what it's doing to improve the car is hard to put into words.

Quaife Install
Indie is Euroclassics Ltd. in Durham. They do consistently excellent work on my fleet and are great folks to work with.

If you don't mind me asking, how much was the install? i have one in my garage and most shops around here dont have a clue how to work on a Mercedes. (5 different shops) I started doing everything myself, but I don't think I can do the LSD.
