E63 DIY any info? Fuel filter
Has anyone done the fuel filter?
I have done most everything else.
Rotors and calipers will get a big wirte up in the next month.

I am bumping this. I know the answer now, but none of you could have told me to look at the sending unit leak thread???
So no one else needs to look, the filters are integrated into the fuel pumps which are mounted inside the gas tank. $405 each plus two new gaskets.

You only have to replace the one on the driver's side

Yes, the search which only returns this thread in regard to E63 fuel filters. Why look at an E55 thread?
Now look up fuel smell, and you get a different result which is more generic and links the E63 and E55.
