Low voltage warning on cold mornings
So I get the low voltage warning on cold mornings. Let the car warm up. Restart it and it's fine. I know the cold and letting it sit is killer on the battery. (remedying that by having the girl drive it once a week.) Basically my question is how long do you think I have till the battery goes? Should I trickle charge it if it's going to sit for a week?
TIA,
Sterling

I've never known a battery to "heal" itself...
Trickle charging a dying battery will postpone the inevitable, but if the battery is already on the way out that will only allow you to have the failure at a more inopportune time!
Is the warning for the starting battery or the accessory battery?

It's not healing itself. It's on it's way out the door. It gave me this warning once last year after sitting for a few weeks in the winter. Then nothing till it sat for a few weeks this winter.
Maybe it's the accessory battery since she's never had a problem starting?

Do you get the "Convenience Features Disabled" warning on the cluster or the Red Battery "Visit Workshop" message???
As far as I have been able to learn from this site:
"Convenience Features Disabled" = Rear battery
Red Battery "Visit Workshop" = Accessory battery up front
