Alright I need help, advice, or any thing.....
First off, I want to run 11's stock. I only have a Eurocharged heat exchanger and Meziere pump. There are no engine mods on the car at this point. And I do have a sweet drag set up.(Thanks chawkins) So I strongly believe that this is possible. But, what do I have to do/work on so that I can achieve my first goal?
I will be at PBIR again on Wednesday for the test and tune night. I will stay untill they kick me out this time unless I hit my first goal, which ever comes first.
I am a professional golfer, so I no how hard it is to hit goals. It was only four years ago I was a 27 handicap. Now I am the Director of golf for the Seminole Tribe of Florida, and I play in pro tournaments.
The next goal would be to hit 10's, but we will cross that one when the time comes.
Now, what I need is any help on launch and shifting, what settings to be in, and anything else that will help. My car never gets out of third gear through the run. And I don't know if that is good or bad.
What RPM do I shift at? I've been running manual and all my times have gotten lower with every pass. I don't think manual S is better. But what ever works.
Are my trap speeds any good? It has been as low as 110mph and as high as 112mph. It does seem to be pretty consistant. But can I make them higher? How do I get my 60' lower? I was running 1.9 on street tire and 1.8 on the drags. What else can I do?
ANY help would greatly be appreciated. This forum has given me alot and I need YOUR help. Let's do this.
Unfortunately in south Florida you aren't going to get weather like some guys in the north get with incredible DAs way below sea level to help the car make more power to run faster. Your traps may not get much higher than 112 so you really need a good 60ft to improve your time which could improve by 3 or 4 tenths with a slightly better launch.
If you do one, how do you do your burnout? Do you try to spin the tires until the car shuts you down and then you just roll forward to the line? At minimum you need to powerbreak the car for a second until it starts to limit your power and then keep the pedal on the floor and let the brake go continuing to spin the tires like mad as you head to the staging tree. If you can't do this for whatever reason then you may need to put the car in dyno mode to remove the limiter so you can spin them as much as you want and do it for a good 5-6 seconds before going up to the line.

1) reset the tranny with the "sneaky ECU reset" before you run
2) PSI in your Drag set up (can have dramatic effects on your 60's and MPH)
3) How is the track prep - while we get great DA's here - we have even better track prep
4) pull everything you can out of the car to reduce weight and if you see the thread about MIR - you'll see while Clayton actually said it - there was a mad rush this week to "burn off" fuel so we get to the track with as little as possible.
5) - just practice the launches (think of it as short game and putting
rather than the whole runs. . .I can't tell you how many pros show up and ALL they're doing is practicing their launches (my favorite was when one shut down after the first 150 ft and still ran sub 10's in the 150'smph).
