Never even installed them. As the day went on, I started helping out Lowprofile and Bruce, in what little ways I could, and didn't pay much mind to my own car. Everything is still in a box on the passenger seat.
Need to find a day, without kids, and warm enough to mess around with it.

I'm trying to put this amazing accomplishment into some sort of context I can wrap my head around.
A question for the experts who know.... How much RWHP does it even take to run a number like 10.5?![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
I see a select few guys around here putting down 500RWHP and even fewer up around 540RWHP. Yet the quarter mile times are well off this pace. So what do you guys think? 600HP? 650HP?
Whatever it is, it's clearly a number larger than we've seen before on the E55 platform.

And you know what? One more thing.....
Bruce and TTM......
After countless PMs, texts and phone calls, I finally got a chance to meet the man, look him in the eye and say thank you. Everything you've heard is true. The man just never stops helping. Never stops teaching, and never stops giving. I think I counted 5 complete strangers to him, that he helped today in one way or another. Not to mention I texted him 48 hours before the rental, and 24 hours before he was setting of from NY to come down here, and asked him for an impossible favor. I'll be god damned if the first thing he did when he saw me was hand me a box full of custom/fab parts. Sounds like I'm slurping here, and posting like he's my sponsor, which he'll confirm that he's not. For the record, I still haven't given Bruce or TTM one friggin dime of actual U.S. Currency.
Thanks again, Bruce. You really are a good dude. Can't drive worth a *****, but a good dude.

The MPH is a more important number if you're looking to attempt to calculate WHP. E.T. Is going to be byproduct of your 60', in most cases. We had great cold/dense air, little to no wind, a well prepped track. All of that has to go into the calculation. You will never ever be able to replicate track pulls, sitting on a set of rollers with a fan sitting in front of the car.
This car had the perfect storm of tune, tuning products, and the right owner with the passion to make it happen.
There's much more to it than saying "what hp will get me there". It's quite possible that this car has less WHP than others. I have no clue, but it's possible. Sometimes it's about the car 'keeping' all available HP during the pass, if you're following me. Car #1 with hotter tune and bigger dyno number will be slower than Car #2 with lower dyno number, but better cooling mods and fueling system.

Don't confuse WHP with E.T.

In terms of HP needed, I know Bassn07 had dynoed 525 peak when he ran his 10.77, but as mentioned, there is a lot more that goes into this than just HP. A lot of it has to do with how quick the HP comes on and how long it is holds. You can geta tune to get the highest peak, but that tune will not get you down the 1320 for ****. Bassn held the record for 3 years, and believe me, there were a lot of guys chasing. 10.59 in one of these boats is a testament to builder (Bruce) and the tuner (Jeremy). It is an elusive combination, and then requires the right conditions and driver. 10.59 will stand a long, long time... at least until I can get to the track HAHAHahaha
In regards to Bruce, I AGREE. The guy helps so many guys, myself included. I have been accused of being "sponsored" when I back Bruce up. I share facts and the guy is awesome. He wont take **** though...
I wish I was on the East Coast, Bruce would have a hard time getting me out of his shop!

Link above didn't work for me. Try this one. Unbelievable pass, and a record, which was soon broken by same car!!!

I love that this was against a GTR, but I don't know what the GTR ran. I'd love to see the slip!!
My local adversary is a modded GTR...

Based on 1/8 mile time of 6.8 @102
0-60 = 2.34 Seconds
http://www.wallaceracing.com/0-60_equation.php
Here is another car that does 0-60 in 2.3 seconds.... Tell me that doesn't put things in perspective!!!

Looking back, BK has a very simple combo to run times like he does. From what he told us last time, stock stall, stock heads, stock came and bottom end. I would be interested to know what his last dyno sheet looked like and whether this run was on race gas. I bet it was on pump, and with a lighter driver and slightly better conditions from last time, I could see knocking off 2/10's easily which is what he did.
Looks like a solid stage 3 with slight weight reduction and a well thought out build.

Fastest M5: 10.578 w/150 NOS Shot (2 M5's in 10's - Both juicin)
Fastest RS-6: 11.438 w/120 NOS Shot (No RS-5 listed in the 10's)
I like that these guys are SOLIDLY in the 10's.. NO JUICE!!

This might be a little old school for some but Smokey Yunick power book states to calculated HP from the 1/4 mile is below. Now this is relative to having optimal traction.
Use this formula: HP = Weight/(ET/5.825)3.
Use this formula: HP = Weight/(ET/5.825)3.
