Car won't start ... haven't driven in a week...culprit?

Car won't start ... haven't driven in a week...culprit?
I haven't had a chance to drive the car in a week or so ... I went to start the car this morning, it won't start.
It cranks, but won't start.
The dash displays "Reduced braking power, start engine" in red font. The clock keeps going crazy too.
Culprit?

When the battery gets low, all kinds of crazy **** happens. Throw a charger on, and you should be good to go.
Once it starts, you may get "convenience features disabled" message, but once you drive a couple of miles, both batteries will charge up and message will disappear.

Tell us what you mean "it cranks" how long?
If it turns over for a second or two, then stalls and throws red alarms then yes dead battery.
This condition low voltage can and will cause damage to your electrical system, so either recharge or get a new battery.
FWIW once a battery has been dead, it will never recover it's full potential, always better to get a new battery

It may crank, but if there is not enough juice, it wont start. Had the same issue with my 04. Put a new battery in and it was perfect. I would think even if you jump it, your still gonna need a battery.

When and if you jump it, connect the cables and let the running car charge the dead battery for like 15 -20 minutes before you try to start it.

As previously mentioned put a charger on the battery and let it sit for a few hours, it is VERY hard on your alternator if you jump the car and typically will contribute to reduced alternator life. If you battery is that low after only one week, I see a new battery in your future.
Start looking for a battery though.

Looks like Varta is the OEM battery, so I'll be purchasing one of those...and installing myself after reading the above thread! OUCH, 500 bucks for a battery change.
