I picked the beast up yesterday, and it was even better in person, here are some pics to see:
Specs are:
Stock heads and cams bored 30 over Manley H beam rods and pistons, king bearings, total seal rings, rotating assembly was race balanced, the heads where completely gone threw with new valve seals and springs. Can't wait to let Jeff put his tune and a couple other maintenance items on there. NO longer has the cog setup, thank God
SSBC brake kit
B&M tranny pan, valve body
T/A girdle detroit tru trac locker
C&L upper, C&L inlet tube, Airaid intake
Accufab SBTB
MSD coils, brand new tr6 plugs
Dynatech long tubes,
Dynatech X-pipe,
Magnaflow mufflers
AEM wide band,
Lunar boost gauge
Lightning Force heat exhanger
Electric water pump,
Electric fan
Johnny Lightning intercooler tank
Canton Over flow tank
Brand new alternator,
Metco idler setup
6lb lower
Lakewood traction bars just not installed
The trip home was awesome as I got to convoy with some fast cars and even meandered into Mexico:
Believe it or not but a W211 E55 showed up for about 20 minutes I gave him the eaton solute. I have ordered a fuel kit for it, which includes 60lb Sieman Injectors, Twin 255lph Walboro fuel pumps, Bigger maf and some stainless fittings, bigger hoses which only came to $650, loll I am going to run it on the dyno and if all looks healthy, throw a 75 wet shot on it and call it a day. In it's current state it is making 438rwhp/570rwtq with close to maxed fuel pumps and maf. The valve body makes it shift twice as quick as the E55
Hopefully EC TCU tune will fix that.
You guys think I should pull the lightning fender and svt trunk emblems, and shoot them with plasti dip or leave them chrome?

I was coming back from holiday in FL on my way to nashville and saw a truck just like this and remembered your thread about this truck and thought "maybe its chawkins form mbworld" ... the lightning was behind me for a few miles but i couldnt find a spot to give it a WOT to see if it would give chase and then i got off at a rest stop on the macon bypass as i had about 500 miles of roadtrip pee that needed to be released
i was in my black e55 with FL plates

Yes that was me. I was wandering why an e55 would get off at a rest stop I noticed the beast right away and would have definitely made some runs.

haha too funny, small world!... i had just saw this thread like a few days ago so it was fresh in my mind but i was like "nah, too coincidental, no way thats him and no way he bought it already"
we prob raced some of the people on the way up from FL since we ended up in macon area around the same time
