Did you pull the little key out the fob, that should open the trunk.

Pull out the metal key, insert it into the lock cylinder, turn it clockwise I believe, and then really squeeze the plastic handle that you normally use to open the trunk and it should open. I believe turning the key moves a mechanism that goes in front of the plastic handle to turn it from an electronic to a mechanical switch.

I just went outside and tried it. Insert the key, turn it COUNTERCLOCKWISE a quarter turn, and pull the handle. There was a good amount of resistance the first time I did it, but it works.

WTF? I Had the same thing happen to me a few days ago... Bought a battery today, Will swap it tomorrow. Hope that does the trick...
I know a battery normally fails in the winter but the temperature is in the 80's here in FL.

I just tried that and my key will turn about a quarter turn to the right then I have to try really hard and it will turn another 1/4 inch but trunk still will not pop open. Is there away to jump it from the engine compartment to get power to at least pop the trunk open?

Shoot some lube in the lock. Never gets used so tends to seize. Same thing happened to me.
